Last year, Trump was running around and claiming unemployment was as high as 42 percent. It's an absurd, disproven lie based on lies, damned lies and statistics, but let's go with it.

For him to be responsible for a 38 percent drop in unemployment would mean that his administration is responsible for an even bigger drop in that rate than FDR (25 percent to close to 1). And that took FDR 13 years and a World War, not one sans global armed conflict.

He deserves credit for inheriting a robust economy and keeping it so, but he's not up for sainthood just yet.
