NY announced today that beginning May 19, vaccinated fans at Citi Field and Yankee Stadium can be in normal, non-distanced seating. If they can do it for stadiums, I do not see why it can't be done for concerts.

Curious how they plan to do that unless they only sell tix to vac people.
Otherwise how do you effectively monitor if everyone sitting next to each other are actually vaccinated and not in via neg test

Probably has something to do with the headache logistics likely is this year around what state restrictions are and the uncertainty surrounding...well, everything. Likely a lot easier to play a one off show than plan a whole tour.

There are so many bands playing at Summer-fest that I have never seen before, many in particular from their 90's hot period that are bucket list bands that I would love to see.

I would give a kidney for this. My cousin opened up for Better Than Ezra, but I never got a chance to see the show.

I'm already drooling at the Barenaked Ladies / Gin Blossoms / Toad the Wet Sprocket tour next year.

They used to do free shows here during the summer, sponsored by Bud Light. Better than Ezra played one, Spin Doctors another, and then Lit. Was definitely cool it they stopped them for some reason.

The band can just stop playing if they see masks down or are told masks aren't being warn. Not ideal, but relatively easy to try to enforce.
