Yeah. You are exactly right. The Sirius streams are mixed on the fly by someone backstage and they just aren’t great this year. The Noblesville N1 one was the best I’ve heard from 2021 but I really dislike the sound of Raleigh, WPB and Chicago. I don’t have a solution for these... 2018-19 definitely sounded better but the best quality ones / best mixes are ones they take their time on - the debut shows. 2004, 2006, shows never aired before. It must be much harder to mix these live at the show for the broadcast.
But yes - they’re not good. They even sound mono to me. The crowd is way too loud, the band sounds flat, Dave’s voice is awful at times and nothing like what he sounds like at the show, etc. I am still glad we get them but that’s why it’s important we get audience recordings from every show too. I do hope the Sirius streams improve.
