These are videos from Penn State's THON 2007, a 46-hour dance marathon that raised over $5.2 million to help kids with cancer. The first one is from the Line Dance that all the dancers participate in every hour for the whole 2 days. The second one is of the whole stadium singing "Hey Baby" in the last two hours.

I'm feeling rather disenchanted with Youtube right now. Of course I understand the right and wrongs of "copyright infringement" on a very basic, fundamental level. But when you're using material from which you intend to earn no personal financial gain whatsoever, I don't really understand why it has to be a big deal.
Over the last couple months on my Youtube account I've built up a good 60-70 clips posted mostly of House, The West Wing and Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip (the bulk being of the latter two), and miraculously I've already become sort of "known" for this on there, I get at least one or two new alerts a day saying someone else is "subscribing" to my videos, and I've constantly gotten positive comments on all the classic show clips I put up. Well as of late last night every single of them has been taken down and my account officially Suspended. I know they've been especially cracking down on TV shows the last few weeks. But this just bums me out so much, all the time I've put into UL'ing those clips for other fans, and it's all now 100% gone. I really ultimately don't see how it would be that big a deal to let fans of shows continue to put up funny clips like that for everyone to enjoy. NOBODY is trying to profit from it.

Thought I would bring this thread back heres a good one about the Cabrini Green housing projects, if you're from Chicago you know where im talking about, its hilarious for the first 3 1/2 minutes then gets all emotional, but the best part is around the 2:30 mark when they start dissing NY rappers you have to see it for yourself, trust me this is hilarious

Okay I debated with whether or not to start a new thread for this, but ONLY because this has to do specifically with anybody who's got an account thru which they occasionally (or frequently) upload videos to Youtube.
Anybody around here actually a YT'er? Because if there is I was wanting to ask you if you've received an official "invite" alert that a particular other UL'er wants to be your "friend" so they can share videos directly with you, and it's this person I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=daniellecalato At first I got it, opened it up and thought, Wow, this is interesting and kinda cool, this young pretty cute girl actually was struck enough by my UL's that she wants me on her "list" or whatver to be able to share stuff directly? But then the further I looked, she's obviously on the cusp of a hopefully burdgeoning music career, what are the chances this is nothing more than a spammed request to spread word for her, and EVERYONE who's got a YT account got this. So, any official UL'ers recognize her? Thanks

hey just saw this post and wanted to get involved ...
here is a video of me and my friend catching a 7 foot lemon shark in st john ... let me set it up by saying that we ( he couldnt finish it alone) had this thing on the line for about a hour. the whole time we are thinking it a 200lb tuna, which of course is a huge payday for the captain because he sells it to the local restraunts.. so after a hour we get it up and our captain is so pissed that its a shark ( cant eat or sell them) that he cuts the line very quickly leaving us only with this short shot of the beast ... enjoy http://youtube.com/watch?v=ld8LVYPZu58 |
