So my max Down speed from what i've seen so far has only been 9.6 kbs adn my Up speed is right arouns 2.0, MAYBE.

I DL'd Azereus and i'm DL'ing my first show.

My KB/s global max upload speed is set at 25.

My KB/s Global max Download speed is at 0.

I am also on a network connection at work so i'm not to sure what my DL and UPload capabilities are and dont really want to e-mail anyone about our downloading capabilities. Any help would be awesome, Thanks!!

Hello, I've been reading through these posts, and I was wondering if anyone uses BitRocket? Everytime I click on a song that it says is uploaded the song and the window disappear which means that I can't seed nor listen to the song. If you have any suggestions I'd really appreaciate your help. Thanks.

Sorry if this question is a dumb one. I am using utorrent and have completed a download. the status says seeding and the rest of the screen says seeding 0(2). I have left the program open am I doing the right thing here? I just don't understand the seeding and ratio thing. If a show is already listed then do I still seed to maintain the ratio? Am I contributing if I leave the program open? I just don't understand what to do after the DL is complete. I am also having problems with the speed setting, if someone can walk me through that I would be be grateful. It took over a day and a half to complete my DL...is this normal?

Just as long as you stay with trusted sites (like btree, dreamingtree, and ants), you'll be just fine. Nothing has ever happened to me and I sure have downloaded a lot of torrents!

one more question... I just got utorrent the other day and i tried to d/l three torrents. Two wont start d/ling and one is d/ling but taking forever. It's been d/ling for two days now and its only 16% done. Why am I having trouble?

OK, so what if I've had the show open and seeding for three days straight, but no one seems to want it? Is there a timeline for when we can remove the torrent? I don't want to come accross as greedy, but no one seems to want 5-2-02 or 5-4-02. Not a single person has grabbed my seed (this that the right terminology? sounds kind of dirty)

Now I do have a ratio of 7.3 on 6-00-192 studio remastered, so I'm still sharing. Has anyone else had this problem?

Ok I am sure this question has been answered but there are a lot of posts and I am somewhat lazy. I have all the files from the torrent downloaded (I think). Right now the show is seeding. Does that mean I have all the files on my computer ready to play? If it does how do I play them. I know that I shouldn't convert it to losses formats. But is there a way to get the .flac files to a format that can play on itunes? I have a mac if that makes a difference. This is my first show and I have been trying to figure this bitTorrent stuff out for a while. I finally sat down and got my NAT errors fixed now I just want to be able to play the show. Thanks for any help!

I am experiencing severly slow upload speeds while trying to torrent. It seems to start uploading faster and faster (as a tcp connection should do) then reaches some point after 100kbps, even after 200kbps upload speed, then drops down to 0 and no longer uploads for some time. I thought that maybe my ISP was policing the traffic and maxed my upload speed to 35kbps but seem to be having no success.

I believe the issue to be the router/firewall I am behind, which happens to be a sonicwall router. Has anyone else sucesfully configured one of these routers to torrent? I added the utorrent port 28929 as a service and set an accessrule to allow traffic on that port to my torrenting computer.

I have never been able to portforward completly succesfully, something always doesnt work the way it should, with the sonicwall router, some games still experience issues but work. I think it may be due to the added complexity of defining a service then applying an access rule.

If anyone has ever worked with one of these routers or can think of something else I could try please let me know.

hey -

so i just upgraded to a new version of azureus. all of my previous torrents that i were seeding are appearing. however, when i download a torrent, the status says "downloading", but the speed is at zero. so obviously its not downloading. i've already tried changing the port numbers, double checking that my firewalls are set to allow azureus torrents, and i've tried changing the NAT settings. from here, i'm lost at what else i should do. download another torrent server? any suggestions would be very helpful

Hey All, I tried to search for info on BitRocket. I've downloaded a show and I want to follow etiquette and stay connected but now that I have downloaded the show I am not sure how to do it. the file doesnt show up in my bitrocket window anymore even though i left my computer on all day. Do I need to keep re downloading it to not be a leecher? help is appreciated.

Thanks for the info so far but I am running into an error message when I try to run the setup part. It's like it cannot finish the last part. azerus is downloaded but will not run. any info would be appreciated.

nine out of ten times its due to few seeds and or to many other people downloading it. make sure your bandwidth for torrent in question is set to normal also when not using the computer go into options click preferences then click connection and change your bandwidth upload and download to 0 if your gonna be online with utorrent running this will slow you down so you'll need to find out what number works best for ya. on mine when 30000 and 3000 works fine. another trick that works from time to time is clicking the file in u torrent then clicking force start

I've downloaded 3 or 4 shows w/ BitTorrent and I am having problem getting the ratio to 1:1, the torrent keeps stopping an I can't get to resume seeding the best I've been able to do is .57 (I don't have a problem giving back, the shows are great!).

Any suggestions would help, otherwise I just downloaded uTorrent and will give that one a try///

you are right dear bit torrent is very good at its place. But problem came from torrent sites where content contains porn material as well as viruses etc. which show down speed so we should also use a trogen remover which cause a virus ,trogen horse free environment for system..........

Essentially fella you really need to tighten up on the beatmatching. Quite a few instances where the beats were off. Im not really gonna go further into anything else as its a key skill you really need to master first.

I need Help! When I click on a torrent link to download it opens up a new tab that is blank! I never get the torrent! I download torrents from other places successfully all the time. Any idea why it doesn't work on ants marching?
