Re: Favorite beer of choice?

I like Sunshine and Blue Moon. I used to really like this beer called giddy up from New Belgium that had an expresso flavor to it, but they stopped making it. Anyone know any other good beer like that?

if you guys are ever in the Madison, WI area (middleton to be exact) check out Capital Brewery. I live a few blocks from it, used to work there...and it really is good beer. It's won tons of awards. Friday nights in the summer are awesome out in the bier garten with live music. check it out.... http://www.capital-brewery.com/

Two Hearted is definitely one of my favorites as well. I really can't think of another IPA that I prefer to it. Maybe SN Celebration Ale, but that's about it.

huh good question...if you go to a rocking liquor store with a giant selection of micros some in the Chicago area may even carry it...

on second check of the website, they show distribution in Wisconsin ONLY.

After about 2 months of drinking Natural Light and Natty Boh (poor college kid) I decided to treat myself to something better. I went to the store looking for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and the jackasses didnt carry it. So I tried Flying Dog's instead which I enjoyed a lot. Its funny after drinking carbonated pee water for that long after about 3 Dogs I was started to feel a nice little buzz, and after the 6 I was straight chillen. I love good beer.

Oberon is out now. Anyone give that a try this season? I thought it tasted more... delicate.... than in the past. Still good though!

Saw people mentioning Centennial and Two Hearted earlier. Those are two great beers. Finished my paperwork last night over a pint of Two Hearted ale.

To the guy who mentioned Sierra Nevada PA, I'd tell you to skip that and go for Bells Pale Ale. It has a great balanced taste but isn't so hoppy that it's trying to stand out. I love it.

Yea, it's crazy how quickly you'll get your drunk on when you drink quality beers like that.

A few months ago my friends and I had the "Night of a Million Beers", where we went to a specialty beer store and got 48 single beers of different varieties. We would each have about 1/6th of each beer, and it was essentially just a beer tasting. We had 6 people participating, so it came down to being about 8 beers apiece, and we were all annihalated drunk. You drink some of those nicer beers, and they pack a punch that the cheap stuff just doesn't compete with.

I had a pretty great raspberry wheat organic beer. And an amazing chili beer from Cave Creek, AZ recently. I don't remember names.

And Miller Light is the worst beer known to man. Or was before Miller 64 came out.

WE used to do a similiar thing. Me and 5 friends would each buy a six pack. We would get together and drink one of each beer.

Love trying other stuff, but usually end up coming back to Yuengling.

Hmm I wasn't a huge fan of Bell's Pale Ale. It's good, but it's almost as much of a blonde ale as it is a pale ale. Very different from SN Pale Ale and I would say I definitely prefer Sierra Nevada's.
