Sam Cutler is with them.. which I thought was weird, he introduced them for like 30 seconds then talked about himself and his book, not many people went back to talk to him.

Talk about a guy sucking off the GD teet... following a tribute band around of a band he only managed for a couple years trying to sell his book.. sheesh.

To be honest, I loved his contributions to Long Strange Trip and will continue to enjoy listening to him when I watch it on future occasions, but his recent mad online meltdown about Phish made me lose most of my respect for him. You really don't have the right to an opinion about a show when you leave 20 minutes into a 3 hour show. You don't have the right to an opinion about that band when all of your criticisms boil down to nonsensical ramblings of the cultural aesthetic of "the scene" and the fact that you think the 4 band members are too rich (still trying to figure out what the hell that means). He just comes off as a guy who can't intellectually or emotionally digest music and wants to remind people about his role in the rock "scene" in relation to some iconic acts. Good for him for doing some cool things in some cool moments in history, but that meltdown about Phish exposed the fact that he doesn't actually value music and can't intellectually understand and talk about it in any meaningful, critical way.

Also, his cheap shot at Mike Gordon just revealed him to be a garbage human being. Sad, really.

I feel similar. Really enjoyed what he added in the doc for sure.. but the phish criticism just reeks of an old english rock n roller who cant open his mind at all.. which makes me question how much he really likes dead music.

He seems like he's unreasonably arrogant. Like cool, you had a part to play with rock n' roll history, but you're no longer relevant. It looks like he hasn't been relevant since. Pretty sure he got fired by The Stones.

If you any of you ever get a chance to see Holly Bowling, do not pass it up. I'm seeing her right now at Peach and I'm pretty blown away.

DSO was fantastic last night. Amazing setlist and I was really blown away with their performance.

    Set was from 6/25/1985:

Set 1: Day Tripper, West LA Freeway, CC Rider, Dire Wolf, Beat it on down the line, Row Jimmy, Me and my uncle->Big River, Big Railroad Blues, Jack Staw, Might As Well

Set 2: Gimme Some Lovin', China Cat->Rider, Playing in the Band->Drums->Space->The Wheel->Playing in the Band, China Doll, Sugar Magnolia

    Encore: Touch of Grey

Bonus Song: One more Saturday Night

Would definitely go to a DSO show again!

Been listening to a lot of the Dead's acoustic sets recently. Bird Song and Don't Ease Me In are amazing!

I also just came across this gem from earlier this year!

Saw today on Twitter a rumor about D&C booking Hartford in November. Fall tour perhaps?

This November? That would be crazy short notice for a fall tour, but I would be happy about it

Yeah I think they were pretty clear a fall tour isnt happening. Id love it but I would be shocked. Mayer's tour ends at the end of Oct and I would have to imagine he would want the last couple months of the year off after touring almost the entire year

At best, maybe they do a one-off show for an event, but even that seems unlikely on this short of notice.

Their 2015 fall tour was announced late August. So if it were to happen, yeah they'd have to announce it soon. Would be awesome. That guy who posted it on his Twitter also follows Ants Marching. So if you're reading this dude, speak up please

Tried to post in here yesterday but Ants was down. Bob and Phil performed Terrapin Station in its entirety last night at the Lockin' Festival. It was live streamed for free, however, I missed it. I will have to go back and give it a watch later today!

The cities could be right. But yeah, the dates? No way. MSG Sunday and Tuesday, each after a basketball game the prior night? I didn't bother with the other dates.

    Winter tour:

Late Nov. - early Dec. :

Hampton, Greensboro, Philly, Hartford, MSG, Springfield and Augusta. Houston is December 2nd. (Less confident word) NYE at either Oracle in Oakland or forum in LA.

Should be announced this week or next

Weird those dates are so different from what I found.

Sucks if these are true because I doubt I could make any.

I also find it really hard to believe they hold a concert in Houston in december. The heavy devasation is going to last the better part of a year. I dont think the city could handle an influx of people in just a couple months.. but I could be wrong.

Source? Awesome if true as I would go to at least 2 of those shows.

That article seems to be talking about when they first toured in 2015. That's when they played the Phillips Arena on that date.

Dead & Company announced Sept. 10 they will come to Atlanta’s Philips Arena on Nov. 17.

    It's still August.

    Hmm,

The article date of that story says August 2017, but I just realized that Dead & Co played Atlanta on November 17th during the last tour. So I am guessing that they mashed the two article together and that they are not playing there again on that date. Confusing...
