Farm Aid 2014. Walnut Creek Sept. 13

"Farm Aid is coming to Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 13! The concert lineup features Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, Jack White and more.

Farm Aid 2014 is an all-day music and food festival, and will feature a unique lineup of artists and genres and will offer concert-goers family farm-identified, local and organic foods with its own HOMEGROWN Concessions®. In Farm Aid's HOMEGROWN Village, attendees will have the chance to meet farmers, engage in hands-on food and farm activities, and learn about the ways family farmers are enriching our soil, protecting our water and growing our economy, in addition to bringing us good food for good health.

The Farm Aid 2014 Presale starts Friday, July 25 at noon EDT. The general public sale starts Friday, August 1 at 10 a.m. EDT. Prices range from $49 to $175 - see http://j.mp/FarmAid2014Tickets for links to purchase and more information."

really excited to see Jack White on the bill!

Yes! I went to the one in Kansas City 2-3 years ago. It was in a football stadium vs an amphitheatre. I think it kicks off around 11am with lesser known artists and ends with Willie Nelson closing it out. The only downside is they play short sets but it's good exposure to different artists.

And I'm coming in from Florida for this one. Hotel and plane booked!

I was at SPAC last year and it was great. Dave and Tim kicked ass. Neil is one crusty dude though. Johnny Cougar was very good. And how do you not love a chance to see Willie.

wonder if we see Jack collaborate with D&T - that'd be unique to say the least, but probably a lot less likely than seeing him play with Neil given their work together on Neil's latest covers album. Jack White's show from chicago last night was broadcast on the web and he killed it! but I could see this being a more subdued show (like D&T instead of full band)

From reading the page it seems like the $50 to get to the pre-sale is added towards your ticket cost.

    True?

Has anyone found anything more specific regarding prices? I've only seen $49 to $175 repeated on several sites, but LiveNation makes it sound like it is $49 or $175.

I guess I'll know in about an hour during the first pre-sale. Previous attendees is it really $50 on the lawn everything else is $175 type pricing? After fees tickets jump to $64 and $200

If I'm not mistaken, last year at SPAC the lower ticket prices were in the lawn and prices in the reserved seating were priced based on how close your section was to the stage with the highest priced tickets being in the front sections.

Price structure was as follows for the farm aid presale:

    $49 lawn
    $65 open air seat - Sec 8
    $75 open air seat - sec 6
    $115 open air seat - sec 6
    $150 covered seat - sec 8
    $175 covered seat - sec 1
    $175 all ages - I'm guessing pit?

I think that's right! Post if you find something different!

I'm wondering if WH is going to offer these different options or if you will just get stuck with best available if you select pavilion? I want to have a seat but I don't want to come off $175, either.

for those of us who can't attend in person here is the broadcast info from farmaid.org website - looks like a live broadcast on AXS TV from 7 PM til 11:30 PM:
    TV

If you can't join us in Raleigh, celebrate with us at home by watching the concert live! Starting at 7pm EDT/4pm PDT, tune into AXS TV to watch the show live in HD.

    Webcast

We'll also be streaming the concert live in HD here on farmaid.org starting at 7pm EDT with our webcast, "Farm Aid 2014 Presented by Amy’s Kitchen."
    SiriusXM

And you can start listening live on Willie Nelson's SiriusXM channel, Willie's Roadhouse (56), beginning at noon EDT. SiriusXM's Dallas Wayne will host backstage interviews and behind-the-scenes coverage of the event.

I hope the TV broadcasts the sets in their entirety.. last year they just did a "highlights" webcast. i would prefer a full concert broadcast as they have done in years past.
