4/5/2002 at PSU was the second time I saw them. The first was 12/8/2000 also at Penn State where they opened with Blue Water and closed with Christmas Song, Ants, and Halloween. It was one of those pre-Everyday three and a half hour jam fests that was just top fucking notch.

Encore on 4/5 was The Space Between and I Did It.

We walked out of there like, what the fuck did I just see?

I truly love this band but I will freely admit that I have no desire to drive more than an hour or two to see them. They stopped playing at our local venue two years ago, and in that time I aquired a wife, a kid, and a house. Just not the priority it was.

I can listen to pretty similar versions of most of their current tour catalog in my living room or when I'm cutting the lawn and be fine w that

Last year in Atlanta. Loved the acoustic set. Nothing to really complain about in the electric. But the encore. Not that I have a problem with Needle, but Needle followed by Shake Me left me feeling like there was something left on the table.

That stone was awesome. I was psyched. But the show was easily the worst I've been to so far.

However n2 was the best show ive been to so far - by any band. Just incredible.

Actually now that I think about it, I think the Governors Island Caravan was the most frustrating for me. Not only did my plans get screwed by a hurricane, but literally the only highlights that night were Like A Hurricane and Shotgun, which I missed, because I was on a ferry trying to get to the show.

One of the most "meh" shows I've been to.

Yeah N2 was awesome. But someone texted me the encore on the middle of the show and it ruined the surprise a little

It was about 90 degrees and humid and miserable pretty much the entire show, and the band came out late. Setlist wasn't that great and almost every song seemed mailed in, even Jimi w/ Warren seemed uninspired compared to other performances. Then they came out and played the single Everyday encore, said goodnight and left. First time I was ever truly disappointed in a show.

They did a mid set Two Step at Charlotte in 2013 (3rd to last song), and I think that's it.

They used to do it more often though.

16 songs, let alone a set like that. That is beyond brutal.

I would give alot to see a real ABI with Butch again. Saw it at my first show and it was by far one of the most memorable moments

It wasn't planned to be played mid set at the Charlotte '13 show, though. They only did because of the late start/bad weather/curfew. It was set listed to close the main set.

    Thank you for your service.

I have seen this thread for days and I am not sure of my answer. First show was 1999. People brought up Hartford N1 from 2012 and that was the first show that occurred to me when I saw the OP because I remember walking out saying to me something to the effect "I'm not sure if we need to more than a year any more". Of course, we were already going into N2. And we know N2 was amazing and left me speechless. I had low expectations going in and though that did help my reaction to the set, I'm guessing. That said, I do remember leaving say that the show might have my top 5 and was easily top 10. It had renewed my faith in them that they still had greatness in them.

There must be moment before that show that I was first frustrated. It just isn't obvious to me right now.

Regarding Hartford N1 2012, it had this run-

    Mercy
    Shake Me Like A Monkey
Spaceman (10 minute version with Stanley Jordan)
    Jimi Thing
    Gaucho

Lovely ladies being in west palm after I drove there all the way from Chicago. They butchered Chicago at the end with predictability but I didn't mind the songs. Then those west palm shows were stupidly short and pretty damn predictable. Not bad shows just a bummer. I felt like the guys didn't care and the crowd sucked.

Re: The first time you were frustrated

I typically don't get frustrated, but I went to Irvine, Chula Vista, and the Hollywood Bowl in 2007, and tripping billies closed the encore of all three shows. Never been more frustrated in my life. There's nothing wrong with Billies at all, but of all the luck!

I went to all three shows that week. By mid-set of Hershey, I was just so down and defeated. Should have known better on an album tour.
