Ah I must have missed that tid bit somewhere along the way. Too bad... I really loved Carter & Dave's harmonies, Carters sweet tone plays so nicely with Daves gravely sound. Although I know Rashawn is technically better, it will certainly be something I miss on this album.

I don't know nick, but I'd say if there's one good song out of the new ones so far then this is it.

I honestly think this is the easiest one to like so far. Doesn't mean you need to think it's great, but I think this one is by far the hardest one to outright hate.

I'm not going to call anyone an idiot for not at least finding something to like about this song, but I will consider myself confused about it.

This sounds like the Dave Matthews Band to me. Prominent horn, drum, violin, and guitar parts. Funky verse/catchy chorus, sax and violin solos. Classic Dave goofy lyrics. It sounds new and old at the same time.

We have a good chance to make a jump this year when you factor in our schedule getting easier and us getting back Bray and Hunter from injury from last year. Plus we brought in some big time JUCO's who could make a big impact.

I think we have a chance for 9-3. Most likely 8-4 which would keep Dooley around to continue to build us back.

I've only listened to If Only once, so I need to give it more opportunity before I make a judgement call on it.

Guacho is one of the worst songs I've ever heard from DMB, and Sweet is really embarrassing. Anyone and everyone is writing a catchy little ukulele tune (because it's easy), and Dave joins the trend and writes one about his son's swimming lessons? That's awful.

Thank goodness this is only your opinion, because I strongly disagree with it, yet I think I can still get along with you.

If Only's a cool little groove, but no reason for it to be 8 minutes.

There's a couple lines about his son...read the rest of the lyrics.

Maybe on the album. But, as evidenced by Copperpot's video of BBN, Carter is definitely singing the "love, love, love, love" during the last chorus.

My thoughts exactly for If Only. That outro is wayyy too long and boring.

I think I'm in the minority on this one, but I love If Only and the outro. With that said, I don't think that jam has reached nearly its potential. I'm hoping the guys go crazy on it one of these nights.

The outro is the least of If Only's problems. If Carter's drumming is going to be that sparse/basic...there needs to a whole lot more space filled by other instruments on a song like that. But there just isn't, it's Dave, Tim and Fonz for most of the song with just a back-beat by Carter. That type of approach makes my head go back to sessions with Batson.

Belly Belly Nice...is quite nice however. Grows on me with each listen. Just great, feel-good music.

No but I did ask WHY you don't like them, if you're going to bother to answer my question at least do it correctly. Saying gaucho is trash is not answering my question, nor is stating everyone is using a uke now so sweet sucks too.

I think it's lyrically embarrassing. It's a half assed effort with more rehashed Dave lyrics and ideas in just a different way. It feels like the real life version of that song at the beginning of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. "We gotta dooooo something..." "We gotta do much more than believe if we wanna see the world change..."

It's garbage. Adding the children's chorus at the end is both cliche and doesn't add anything to the song...if anything, it takes away from it. Musically it's ok, but everyone is sitting there saying it's an old school DMB riff...no, it's not. Gaucho is no where near the same type of riff like The Stone, Rhyme and Reason, Satellite, etc. It reminds me a lot more of Cornbread as far as a riff goes.

It's musically in the same league as Shake Me and Funny to me, but with even worse lyrics. Honestly, I think it's the worst lyrics Dave has come up with, right along with Blackjack and Can't Stop.

Sweet is cliche and boring. I can't stake the ukulele, and think it's a cop out instrument. It's a boring chord progression, and again, lyrically it's crap. Especially when comparing it to how good he used to be at writing slow, sweet songs. There's no songwriting substance. It's just very on the surface and carries no depth.

The studio version has the hammond, so there is that to look forward to. I really like the tune, but see how some could say it is boring. The best part is what Tim does with the outro.

"We gotta do much more than believe if we wanna see the world change..."

It's just very on the surface and carries no depth.
the riff to gaucho is actually quite a bit like the stone.

Guacho is one of the worst songs I've ever heard from DMB, and Sweet is really embarrassing. Anyone and everyone is writing a catchy little ukulele tune (because it's easy), and Dave joins the trend and writes one about his son's swimming lessons? That's awful.
I wonder does the other band members come in and say.."Dave....look, we know you're a family man and all but this song really sucks! Put that shit on your next solo record! Ok?"

I think this song is great. Defiantly a great song to groove and Dance to.

That said after hearing all the songs so far, there all decent. Il probably enjoy the album.
Im still waiting for "that" song that captivated me as much as songs like Seek Up, Dreaming Tree, #41 etc. So far none of these songs do that.
