Beefeater has a particular loathsome smell and taste. Seagrams is cheap and in that wheelhouse. Tanguaray is good if you can make it until about 25 before trying it the first time. Bombay is good bulk period.

Those are probably the only 4 I encountered when I was young. There's a whole craft gin industry now, not anything like bourbon has become, but it's a growing market.

I went through a gin & tonic phase in my early 20s, specifically Tanqueray & tonic. I had far, far, far too many one night. Haven't touched gin since.
It's definitely my bad experience liquor.

There is a particular local Jager following to the extent that after being handed so many shots of it over the past 15 years, that I actually prefer it over most any other shot because it's an easy down.

Chilled of course, the only way for it to be served.

"Antivaxxers' affection for Regeneron is fascinating. It's under an EUA, and is not FDA-approved. It's a new technology. Its clinical trials started just before the trials for the vaxxes, so we have no idea what the long-term effects of taking it are. And yet antivaxxers love it.

Anthony Fauci - antivaxxers' bete noire - has loudly praised monoclonal antibodies' promise for many months. So all of the things that supposedly make antivaxxers wary of vaccines should make them wary of Regeneron (which is also less effective than vaxxing). Yet they love it.

And during testing of MaB, Regeneron used the HEK293T cell line, which is derived from the kidney of an embryo aborted in 1973. Use of fetal tissue in testing is another reason antivaxxers say the vaxxes are unacceptable. But it's apparently no problem for Regeneron's treatment.

A vaccine exemption form from an Arkansas hospital is asking employees claiming a “sincerely held religious belief” to not getting a COVID-19 vaccine to also abstain from using many other medical treatments, ranging from acetaminophen to Zoloft.

Conway Regional Hospital is requiring its staff to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The hospital has required the flu shot annually as part of employment, but managers said were seeing a lot more requests for a religious exemption for the COVID-19 shot.

CEO and President of Conway Regional Matt Troup said a large majority of the requests for religious exemptions were about one issue, so administrators developed an attestation form to go with those requests.

“We require the flu vaccine to work here,” Troup said. “With the COVID vaccine, we saw a dramatic increase in the number of exemption requests related to this fetal cell issue.”
