I Burn For You cover possible in the future?

https://youtu.be/MUm5KWSlbC0?t=19m2s

I wasn't aware of this deeply fantastic song until yesterday, and I am realizing this morning that hopefully it might be picked up one day by the band.

It almost feels and sounds like a BTCS era song; there are just a few differences in what instruments are present.

I hope this is not too specific a thread but i think the song and performance is one that many people here will enjoy so hopefully that balances it out!

Branford Marsalis is absolutely amazing! His tone on that song is what gives it the Leroi feel in my opinion.

Here he is on Lover Lay Down https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5egSGQKqEk

Amazing version... Would love to see him play with the band more often.

Blue Turtles is amazing. Sting did such a great job with the lineup for this album/tour. Omar Hakim is one of my favorite drummers, especially with Weather Report, and Branford has such a sweet tone. It was a real treat to see him guest live in Tampa '15 on Lover and Typical.

Yes!! Perhaps Branford may be part of the Gorge concerts at some point in the future? It is a bit surprising, at first, that it hasn't happened yet but they would probably wait until perhaps a year when they had released some songs on which he recorded, such as the next album!

I don’t mean to be a downer but I wouldn’t hold your breathe on him being at the gorge or on the next album. He really has never played much with the band at all
