Strange question for yall

Ive been a DMB fan since like 2000. They are probably my favorite band of all time. I was listening to Live Trax 18 Virginia Beach. Before the very first song #41 Dave goes "We just got back from Italy. We ate lots of pasta and cheese. Also little Italian girls." If you dont believe me go listen to it yourselves. With all the conspiracies running rampant in society about pedophilia and satanism regarding the New World Order Dave's statement creeped me out. Im not trying to poop in the punchbowl and piss you guys off. Im just asking I would like to hear your opinions on this because I love this band. I know artists (not all artists) but people like Kevin Spacey have done some twisted stuff to get fame and fortune. I am starting to question everything I think I know about this world. I know its heavy stuff but I would rather know the truth then to be blissfully ignorant.

I dunno I listened to it twice to make sure I heard it right and it just struck me as really strange. Why would you say something like that? Ive said some stupid stuff that i later regretted but I would never joke about eating little girls. I just dont see why he even said that unless there could be a deeper reason. I dunno nevermind.

If you haven't noticed since 2000, Dave is a character. He says random shit all the time. I wouldn't over-analyze it lol. Just Dave being Dave man. I always laughed when hearing him say that. I'd say he means "eat" as a sexual reference if anything.

I love LT18. One of my favorites. I listen to it all the time. The line right after that is that "you gotta love those spicy cheesy little Italian girls." Then he proceeds to repeat spanikopita in a sing song goofy way. So yeah, I think he was being silly. And given Dave's long lasting obsession with oral sex that's what I (and I'm guessing 99.99999999999 percent of the listeners) have always presumed he was referring to when he discussed eating little Italian girls. He was 29 and we all (men and women included) call women girls. Without getting into a discussion on feminism, it's just the colloquial way we refer to women. Check out those girls by the bar. Did you see those drunk girls on the lawn? I'm going out on a girls night. I'm having the girls over for coffee. I'm meeting the girls for brunch. We do the same thing for men. I'm meeting the boys at the bar. I'm going to hang out with the boys. The boys are coming over to watch the game.

Regardless no, I don't think Dave is a satanist. Same LT, Dave spends the gap before the LIOG reprise to talk to the crowd and suggest that they should follow their bliss. "If you're wondering if you should change shit up. You should change shit up... Because you only got one time up here. Maybe there's a heaven and maybe there's not but I'm not going to go to the bank on it." Dave is fairly openly agnostic. Just to add fuel to the fire, and correct me if I'm wrong, Dave sang Lover Lay Down to a underage girl. Can't remember which Live Trax it was on but the song was dedicated to young fan who met him. She may have requested he sing the song. Been awhile since I've listened to that track. Maybe some can clarify and give the details.
