You're right. I meant to PM you and ask if that would be OK with you. I'll take that as a "yes." I'll add it tonight, thanks. Also, I am going to be replacing the individual files with a .zip of each disc. Everyone generally seems to prefer that to downloading the individual tracks one at a time.

I am actually the one that made the Lost Acoustics compilation. It is a pretty cool story.

I used to be into the whole bootleg and trading scene and knew a few people that had great shows. I never knew what a B & P was. I never forget that I sent a random guy I met 6 blank cds and he sent me back 3 soundboard shows for nothing. Just to be cool. At the time only a few people had the shows and they were absolutely flawless recordings. My first DMB show was dave and tim in Gainesville. The Lost acoustics brings me back every time.

I made those at a time when people that had really good shows would hold on to them or you would have to beg and grovel to get them. I spent hours IMing and bullshitting just to get some nice soundboard shows back then. Good thing I was in college. It was very different then with some of the moire rare shows. now that people are cool about sharing and you can just upload them easily. Honestly I rmember how excited I was when I got the shows and I wanted others to feel that too.

I basically tried to take the shows I had and put all of the songs that were not duplicates on a 3 cd set. I am sure the purest are mad I broke up shows but oh well.

I am really glad that you have enjoyed them it is really cool to see people still talk about them. If it wasn't for people like the Ants Marching web guys I would never have had these shows to begin with.

Enjoy them and have fun. And keep on sharing.

this guy is a fool, in more info he wrote

People that bootleg Dave only trade their material for stuff they DON'T have. I did not have anything to trade, but luckily the guy I dealt with accepted cash. Most all bootleggers won't do that, but because I knew the guy he made an exception.

I only uploaded a minute or so of this song. MSG me if you want the complete, 3-disk Lost Acoustic Sessions that I found this on.

hes an idiot, oh, and thanks a million pdelaroza, i love these.

yes. what you do is download them all, get any one of the free converters out there, convert them, then ditch the lossless files.

    oh, and don't re-up the mp3s.

    there ya go!

Both are easy to find, and freeware.

EDIT: Also cool is that Toast Titanium will burn a CD without requiring you to convert from FLAC first. (Not free though. Well, it can be free if you know where to look.)

For one thing, the shows are all soundboards, which can't be openly traded. While they are becoming more widely held, not everyone has them or knows where to get them.

Also, not everyone wants to amass a huge collection of shows when they can get a carefully selected compilation of the best from a group of outstanding shows.

Finally, compilations are a great way to expose new fans to the music, as well as expose existing fans to music they hadn't been aware of before. It's amazing to me how many people here have just discovered the Lost Acoustics and/or are/were unaware of all the 97 and 99 D+T SBDs that are out there.

That Warehouse has my favorite Passion intro, I know 2/18/97 is considered the best version, but this one really gives me goose bumps. AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW THE DATES ON THE COMPILATION

Being new to the forums, this is the kinda thing that makes this so great. Never would have known about this stuff. I’m having trouble getting torrent to work on my chromebook but found an extension so I’ll keep trying. No clue what those .shp files were. Cheers to live streams and big dreams

Would be much appreciated. I remember this compilation from back in the day. I had a lot of cassettes of the shows, and then the multi disc compilation came out. Man, it was pretty awesome back then.
