This show has been in my library for a while, and it was already sounding quite good. Don't know which source it was, but I imagine it was a SBD. After the remaster, I think those 7 songs sound excellent. Let me know your thoughts.

What a quality show, I am so excited to get a listen to this! Cannot thank you enough for all the excellent stuff you put out!

Are there plans to do the other nights as well?

I don’t own an equivalent source for the other two nights. I have the dauds but I don’t think about reworking those

You know I hadn't even looked and just assumed that since these were 95 era shows (nevermind opening for the Dead) that they were all probably soundboard.

    So TIL and all that.

Well, today I also listened to your remaster and wow, it's good stuff. 95 is really among my most favorite eras of the band and doesn't this just show why. As someone might say, "Ain't that a trip."

    Dave Matthews Band
Light Lift Me Up (restored and remastered)
    8.10.2001
The Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto, ON, CAN
    (soundcheck)

    __________________________

Yesterday I have heard this great version of Light Lift Me Up from Jesse Stone, and I went back to this tune.
    From the Almanac:
    Quote:
Light Lift Me Up is a song that has only been sound checked, and not formally played in concert or on album. It was partially checked on 7.11.01 and checked in full before 8.10.01 in Toronto. The main guitar riff was quietly and quickly teased in the encore of the 8.24.01 show at the Gorge. No official reference was ever made to the song until 2010. In the official 2010 Tour Book sold by DMB, on the Molson Amphitheater page, the Toronto soundcheck and the song (using the fan-titled name) were highlighted:
"Here, on August 10, 2001, the band sound checked with "Dressed In Black" and "Light Lift Me Up", two long time fan favorites that were, at the time, unreleased and never played in concert."
Basically, the only version circulating had many skips, which, overall, made the whole listening experience not really enjoyable, at least for me. So, I have restored the FLAC source of the soundcheck (most likely an IEM capture) with the powerful features of iZotope RX9, fixing most of the missing parts. Finally, I have remastered the result in Logic Pro, working on EQ, stereo image, compression and sound balance. This is a song that felt in the oblivion too soon, and I did the best I could do for you to rediscover this little gem.

If you have the time and fun, maybe remaster your favorite Two Step(s) performance. (or you probably already have).
This with Bela from 4/21/02 is absolutely awesome. (good catch ToySoldier#34)

    Dave Matthews Band
    Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
    2000.06.30

    __________________________

If you have a look to the list of remastered shows below, you'll realize that I am a big fan of summer 2000. After a long winter at Haunted Hollow (and who knows what really happened there), the band is back on stage with great energy. The Soldier field show is one among many outstanding gigs that populate that summer. Al Green was guesting for "Take Me to the River", which was played twice that night.
Roi really shines on One Sweet World intro, but my favorite is his solo in Jimi Thing, which is pure bliss. Also, great performances of Rhyme and Reason and Sweet up and Down (with Butch Taylor).
I tried to handle this show last June, at the very beginning of my remaster project, but I wasn't skilled enough at that time to get a good result. This time, I think I did a better job, and I really enjoyed it today, when I was checking the result with different headphones.
The show was available for download at concertvault, about 10 years ago, but I don't think they even bothered to master it. I don't think I am doing anything wrong sharing this upgrade with you people, and I hope you'll like it.

It is hard to work on AUDs files. I have chosen Mike Vernal's tape among the others, and worked on stereo image, EQ, mild compression and gain.

I tried many months ago, but wasn’t happy with the result. This is a big upgrade

    __________________________

Yesterday I have heard this great version of Light Lift Me Up from Jesse Stone, and I went back to this tune.
    From the Almanac:

Basically, the only version circulating had many skips, which, overall, made the whole listening experience not really enjoyable, at least for me. So, I have restored the FLAC source of the soundcheck (most likely an IEM capture) with the powerful features of iZotope RX9, fixing most of the missing parts. Finally, I have remastered the result in Logic Pro, working on EQ, stereo image, compression and sound balance. This is a song that felt in the oblivion too soon, and I did the best I could do for you to rediscover this little gem.

Thanks for sharing! Performance wise this was not a great night for the band. I remember watching this on ACL when it was out and thinking it was just off for some reason. Band sounds tired, including Dave's voice. For 2009 it just seems like a sloppy show. The spring 2009 shows we have from April, they sound pretty tight and fresh. These guys on this show sound well worn.

These guys on this show sound well worn.

I personally agree with you. Still, wanted to share this uncirculated source, which has a fair audio quality. More are coming soon

Agreed! The audio quality is there and your remaster of course are great as always! Never bad to have any HQ DMB show.
