Wilson leads the 27th ranked passing offense, it's not like he is putting the team on his back and winning two super bowls

Can't think of a single attribute or area that Eli has the advantage over Wilson.

Must be nice playing QB for a team with an all time great defense, and one of the best RBs in the NFL.

Not saying Wilson isn't a good QB, but he isn't asked to do as much as most QBs in this league.

Obviously not a throw the ball 600 times a year offense either.
And Russell had 849 rushing yards and 6 rushing TDs this year.

    based on what? yards?

why not look at INT% instead? tells a lot more about a QB than anything.

Vic Fangio will be the new defensive coordinator in Chicago. He's bringing the 49ers secondary coach Ed Donatell with him.

    I absolutely love this hire.

So he can't make mediocre receivers better than they are and his strengths don't involve passing the ball. He's somewhere between Michael Vick and Tom Brady, he is pretty much average.

Wilson vastly more intelligent, safer with the ball, and accurate than Eli.
Not to forget Russell's rushing abilities. Not to overlook the lopsided receiving weapons around each QB too.
In a comparison of player talent, it's not even close. Team success is applesranges in relation.

Baldwin is the only one i'd MAYBE call mediocre out of that list. the rest are much, much, much worse.

Doug Baldwin is a WR3 or WR4 on majority of teams. Russell turned him into his WR1.
Kearse, Lockette, and Luke Wilson would be scrapping for end of the bench spots outside Seattle.
He has many strengths in relation to passing the ball. Accuracy, decision making, awareness and pocket presence all very good.

Wilson makes better decisions with the ball because his strong defense allows him to. They play with the lead fairly often, leading to less risky passes.

No doubt in my mind Eli Manning could do what Wilson does now if he was on Seattle, save for the rushing totals of course. Giants have had dogshit for an OL the last two seasons and a p shitty defense too.

FYI they had identical completion percentages, despite Eli throwing ~150 more passes

Eli Manning's receiving options obliterate Russell Wilson's receiving options.
Wilson posted 64.1, 63.1, and 63.1 completion percentages each of his seasons in the NFL.
Eli has a 59.0 completion percentage on his career. That's fuggin pathetic.

Also Wilson's career QB Rating is 98.6 with 2 seasons of 100.0 or better,
and Eli's career QB Rating is 82.4 with just 3 seasons over 87.2 (92.1, 92.9, and his single-season high 93.1).

    what a piece of shit.
he didn't develop any talent on the O-Line anyways in buffalo despite multiple high draft picks, arguably the weakest part of that team.
    hope he rots down there.

After my initial and unsuccessful attempts to come to terms with my team losing in such epic fashion, this is sort of where my thinking went. I was understandably catching some flak from friends who are Cowboys fans, and I lashed out about how now we're all going to suffer the consequence of the NFL and the media promoting Russell Wilson as the moral compass of the league for the next 10 years.

It's not his fault. He seems like a sincere enough guy. I just hate that now his crying and inspirational quotes are going to be used to sell Gatorade.
