Anyone like Gang of Youths? They released a new single yesterday "The Angel of 8th Avenue." Some serious Bloodbuzz Ohio vibes on this one...

Listened to their most recent album and really liked it. You can hear The National influences in their music, especially the drumming in certain songs.

The War on Drugs..... easily my most anticipated album of the year. I wish they'd just give us a single to hold over the agonizing wait for new music.

Last few years I’ve really fallen off keeping up with new music. It sucks. Got through maaaaybe 12-15 albums last year. I used to be able to sit and listen to music for hours. I miss it. Love sitting down with my fly tying equipment and popping on a new album

I’m gonna need some lists again of people’s fav albums this year, can’t wait until the AOTY to figure out what to listen to

The Weather Station "Ignorance" has been my favorite album of the year so far.

Ignorance is very good. Parking Lot is probably my favorite song of the year so far

I’m really digging all of the “Brixton Windmill” bands — Black Country, New Road (album For the First Time), Squid (Bright Green Field) and Black Midi (Cavalcade). This kinda art rock/experimental rock thing going on in England right now

Weezer’s OK Human is probably my favorite of theirs that isn’t Blue or Pinkerton

Parannoul’s To See the Next Part of the Dream is a good blend of post-hardcore and shoegaze

Floating Points, Pharaoh Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra’s Promises has a very specific vibe, but I like it. It’s 45 minutes of wringing as much out of one phrase as they can get

St. Vincent’s new one, Daddy’s Home, is divisive. She’s doing more of a funky early ‘70s thing and less guitar badassery. It’s getting great reviews and I’m warming up to it more all if the time

    Same on both counts

I think she’s a strong enough musician and personality that she can change gears

If the goal with Masseduction was to go full pop diva superstar (was it? New York sure was; unclear about the rest), she did well, but think she fell a little short of a massive mainstream smash the way that, say, Dua Lipa has
