I just finished the main story on RDR2 last night. Man oh man, what a journey. I never really got into the first one, but this one sunk its claws in deep. What an amazing story.

I am not fully done yet but am very close and already agree. This is probably the best story mode of any game I have ever played. Everything is so well thought-out and the characters so relateable. I can't see any game topping it for a while.

EDIT: I played and loved RDR1, but it doesn't hold a candle to RDR2.

I finished over the weekend. I'm into Epilogue part 2 now. I feel like there's so much more they can do with only like 6% left to play

yeah I thought there would be more once you get into the epilogue and into the west, but frankly its kinda barren out there. The epilogue almost seems like more of a lead in to online than anything else.

The western part of the map is so great. I love how it’s essentially the whole red dead 1 map out there. Got my first look at it when I played online.

I feel like they should have left out all of New Austin except for the Blackwater area. Like you said, there isn't much going on out there.

I mean its definitely cool visually out there and theres a lot going on for the online but for the main mode it just feels like its not fully fleshed out. Im sure some DLC will make it more interesting, especially if you can get into mexico.

I think the point was just to redo the whole red dead 1 map and put it in the game on top of the whole red dead 2 map. Since it’s a prequel you can kind of fill in the dots about what goes on there between the epilouge and red dead 1.

I wouldn’t be banking on any single player dlc. Hopefully they do some form of undead nightmare though.

Haven’t done it myself but I heard about it. Undead nightmare was a lot of fun but hackers and glitches turn it into a mess. I never got to finish it because I got infected with the headless AI crap and just gave up

I'm still only like barely more than halfway done. I just attended the party at the mayor's house in Saint Denis. Crazy to think of how much time I've spent on this game already and I'm barely more than 50% through.

In fairness I have been slowplaying the main storyline for the most part and have done a lot of exploring/riding around/side missions/hunting etc.

As great as the story is, i spent most of my time doing this as long as i could, but about 1/3 of the way through chapter 6, it seems like there's only story missions to do.

Game is amazing. Going to replay RDR once i finish the epilogue

I tried replaying RDR on PS play or whatever its called and found it very difficult because of how old the graphics/gameplay was.

They enhanced it for OneX so I’m sure the 4k treatment will help. Obviously won’t play or look as great as 2 though.

like Ricky said, the game plays in 4k on OneX. I couldn't find my copy from a few years ago and reordered RDR1 GOTY edition that comes with Undead for $15 brand new/sealed from amazon in Xbox One packaging

Just logged into ants for the first time in awhile and just got a PS4 recently. Is this thread title just super dated now? I’m new to gaming and it seems to me like playstation has all the best games. I don’t even know what “PS4 just kind of wobbles” means. About to start last of us for the first time. (I know I’m like 5 years behind the rest of the world)

Thread title goes back to launch of one/PS4. When PS4 had nothing games wise and the console literally wobbled. Now PS4 has games but is also the weaker console. Things have changed.

The “ps4 wobbles” is just an on going joke in here. The PS4 is a great system with some fantastic games! The Last of Us is an all time favorite of mine (and many), wish I could play it for the first time again.
