I LOVE it! Top to bottom, the performances on this are magnificent. They NAILED every Come Tomorrow song on this thing. Here On Out is damn near perfect.

Especially awesome that this show opens with an explosion of Jeff Coffin-heavy tunes

I'm a huge So Right fan, it was better than I remember at the show when I popped the Blu Ray in. Still love the outro at Northerly 2014.

Hoping those dates don’t hold. Though I’m sure that’ll be it. Usually is. Only will be able to maybe make N1 if it’s then.

I'm fine with that. I'm screwed if it's the following weekend.

NVM. I can make both shows, just leaving on a vacation on the 30th lol. Hope the tape is up first thing in the AM for the drive then! haha

I'm in for Creek and Gorge in 2019. Probably won't be able to snag any of the one offs I enjoy (DTE, Riverbend, Blossom) cuz of Gorge...but I'm sure that'll be A-OKAY. lol

    Re: *** Official Deer Creek 2018 ***

While last night looks friggin awesome, I’m relieved to have chosen the Columbus show over it (and MSG N2 for that matter).

Missing Kill the King and Sleep to Dream Her would have stung HARD. I’m also not sure any other show had the surprise/shock factor and punchy debuts like Columbus (maybe MSG N2 if everyone wasn’t already EXPECTING Warren Haynes was coming out a week or more beforehand). The better shows this tour seemed to just string together better runs and not fall into lulls.

If I was able to see setlists prior to the tour start and pick the 1 show I wanted, I’d have actually picked Columbus, with MSG N1 second. MSG N2 would be 3rd and while it is the better show, the aforementioned 2 songs I like a lot and had never seen play a big factor.

Shows I also liked were both Cville, Mohegan and Canada.

It was fun as hell being at Columbus not believing what I was seeing while also texting w Walter in equal disbelief. Another fun thing was me losing my shit when Kill the King started and my whole section not know what the eff it was. Had Dave looked up to his left he’d have seen this static area with this one little blur bouncing up and down like a lunatic.

I suppose those are some thoughts for a Sunday. Also Rozz texted me that got a beer dumped on him by security at MSG, which isn’t cool, and I hope the guy took him out for breakfast the next day.

My only regret with this tour is that they didn't schedule any shows close to my house.

Kinda bummed that I missed Columbus. MSG seemed like a good time. Not sore about missing CVille.

I've enjoyed listening to tapes this tour. Need to catch up on the last week, pretty excited to hear some of these performances.

Indoor shows always have almost release-quality tapes at worst.

One of the luxuries of a fall tour.

Stoked for summer. Seeing you guys all talking gorge makes me jealous. I'll be back 2020(@the gorge) but I need to cross SPAC off the list and I need to place my feet in the upper Northeast and explore.

SPAC is awesome. You won’t be disappointed. They deliver right on N1, trust me.

And get yourself a dough boy while you are there! Those are super good!

    Good news for the Creek:

Ruoff venue ranked as world’s top concert amphitheater for 2018

"No concert amphitheater in the world sold more tickets in 2018 than Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center, according to a year-end report by Pollstar magazine.

Ruoff, a 24,000-capacity venue in Noblesville, sold 588,023 tickets across roughly 50 shows this summer, Pollstar reported."

I booked Cambria on Tegler. Close with stuff around to eat/drink, along with a shuttle if you don't want to walk.

Awesome venue. Super clean, good sound, good crowd. Went back a couple weeks after Dave for Foo Fighters and moved it to my favorite (besides Alpine of course :-)). Def way easier than Alpine with logistics though. Then went to Tinley Park a couple weeks after Foo, talk about shit hole compared to Creek. It had been a few years since I had been at Tinley but it's about an hour closer than Alpine or Creek so easy to get home without a hotel.

I was listening to the WPB Live Trax today and for some reason started thinking about Sweet Up and Down and how I've heard it a fair amount considering how little it has been played over the years.

Then I checked and noticed that 17% (5 of 29 performances) of all of the full band performances of the song were at Deer Creek.

Just an odd observation of where one song kept landing there.
