I got pit once... I put a girl on my shoulders and she caught one. Its disappointing because I just met the girl and she offered to let me have it, but the nice guy that I am said she could keep it. God only knows where that poor stick ended up.

personalized carter signs work. i made a "im on bended knee, carter please" sign and got a stick. i was in the 2nd row, before pit was a thing. also got carter to sign my drawing while about 6 feet back in the pit because i had a sign asking him to.

I read someone made a sign that said "Hey Carter, lets trade sticks" And they taped a pack of Big Red gum to the sign. They held up the sign at the beginning of the show as the band walked out and they obtained the sticks right away.

You can buy his sticks on the WH store. Just do that and tell everyone how amazing it was to get a stick from him after the show.

Go to the sound booth prior to show start and ask if you can have one at the end. I got mine by waiting right in front of the sound booth 5 minutes before the show ended. He gave me one no problem. The also hand out sets from the stage after the show, so there's that too.

Awesome, thank you for the tip and the answer, I truly appreciate it. I've waited after a show and asked at the stage but there always seems to be alot of people trying the same thing. Plus, everytime I've seen one passed down from the stage, it has always been to a hot gal, of which I am not

Yea setlists at DMB can be pretty tough. I have dozens and dozens of them from other bands because their fans don't give a shit, but I only have 3 from DMB, none of which I've actually acquired on my own. Justin (taper) gave me one at OKC, Spoot gave me one on the winter tour 2012 (Philly) when the sound guy gave him a stack of every one from the tour, and my wife randomly got one from security because he felt bad for making her wait to restock pit wristbands, lol.


Seriously, when I go up to the soundboard for other bands and ask for one, they always give me a funny look like "tha fuck would you want this for? Sure, you can have it." At DMB it's more like "You kidding, bro? That shit is LONG gone."

I got a stick once. One of my bros friends cought one and have it to me. I got Tims pick once. My friend just found it on the ground after he must have thrown it and my friend gave it to me.

For those that made the sign, how big did you make it? Should I just get a white sign and use black letters or neon sign? Need something creative.

I thought about just putting something like " Carter, first show in the Pit! How bout a stick?"

I even though about making it look like a basketball basket and have a net attached to it for him to throw it in. Lol

We have 11 sticks now. Get pit and make a sign. My fiancée gets one every show we have pit. I’ve been handed one.

Setlists- sound guys, people cleaning up the stage after the show. I found one on the ground in between the lower/upper level once probably from the booth. Best way to get a setlist- Coran. We have 5 or 6 from him.

Picks- blind luck? A few years ago there were just pucks on the ground in the pit? I found Tims and she found Dave’s. We found another Tim the next night. Haven’t had that again in 3-4 years though.
