Not much more to say. Very happy with a majority of that game. Let’s build off it!

the penalties were a concern, but I'm chalking it up to the OL playing together in game action very little during the pre-season. These guys haven't had much time to learn Hurts' cadence in a game situation. This is a great group and I'm not too worried about it yet

Any chance of a W today? I think they can stay close but SF is just a better team at this point.

This is not hindsight, I was against it as soon as I saw the offense stay on the field: Going for it on that 4th down was a stupid decision. In what had been a defensive struggle, you take the 3 points there. Not to mention the fact that they had it first and goal from the 1 and went backwards getting to 4th down and had a few cracks prior to the penalty that made if 1st and goal. What made them think that they would suddenly be able to get it in after failing on 5 tries? It gave the momentum to the 49ers for the first time and they never looked back.

yeah that was a rough call. I think he was trying to manufacture some life into the team and stadium but it fell flat.

Hard to know what to make of today. I dont think we learned much about Hurts or Siriani tbh, which to me is the most important part of this season. Hurts was ok, Siriani was ok, the execution was poor all around...who knows what happens if JR stays inbounds and it's 10-0? I think at that point the Eagles roll the niners

At the end of the day this was a loss on the offense, BUTTTTTT the defense was also never able to get off the field.

no chance they win, but 2 series in the play calling is SO MUCH better than it was the last 2 weeks. so much more creative and built toward Hurts' strengths like in W1

They look like a different team compared to Monday night. I'm ok with them laying an egg or looking like crap sometimes, as long as they have other times that they look prepared and effective. The inconsistency is to be expected with a rookie coach and a young team.

Did someone else coach the first game for them? This team has become a complete dumpster fire.

Hurts is going to be a very solid back up QB and Sirianni is going to be a very solid position coach. Neither one is the future of this team.

Good news is the dolphins lost on a last second FG, so their pick is still like top 4, and Wentz has been playing very well and shouldn't get benched. It just sucks that:
    1. This year's QBs are weak
    2. The guy drafting sucks

    Man, that shit was harsh.

I work Sundays and really do miss listening to the games. I feel there have been more games broadcast in the area this year and I do put them on the big screens but I can really only get a score update in actuality.

    Re: Philadelphia Eagles

Eagles blew a lot of the good will they had going for them. Siriani's playcalling at the beginning was very inconsistent, way too much reliance on passing. Hurts looked awful today. He deserves a shot next year but you can't lay a dud that bad. I thought the defense played great until that final scoring drive, but can't put anything on them today. Really need them to get to the QB once in a while though.

Cowboys gave us a gift and we couldn't capitalize. It's hard to look at the schedule and call any of these games easy, except maybe the Jets.

Also, Raegor can get lost. What a fucking waste of a pick over Jefferson.

    JR-23 games, 56 catches, 597 yds, 3 TDs
    JJ- 27 games, 155 catches, 2427 yds, 13 TDs

Raegor needs to figure it out quick or he's gotta go the way of Agholar. As bas as the team played yesterday, we had 2 chances to win and he dropped 2 very catchable balls. As bad as Hurts was, he made the plays at the end to get them a win

I'll preface this by saying- for a first year coach to win almost every game the team should win is pretty impressive...but that first loss to NYG is so tough now knowing we'd be 9-6 and controlling our future.

I dont know why we're still trying to use the pass to set up the run and not vice versa, but a nice win today

I think what I was looking at was before any results. The latest articles I am seeing have the Eagles in with a Vikings loss. I am guess the Vikings losing messes up some kind of tie breaker that would have put NO or 49ers over the Eagles.

    Today we needed:
    - Eagles to win
    - Panthers OR 49ers to win (busts the 3 way tie)
    - Packers to win

    2/3 so far

So assuming we get in tonight, do you all think ticket prices to next week will go down? I need to buy 1 ticket and I am thinking that if the Eagles clinch tonight, a lot of people won't go next week.

    Re: Philadelphia Eagles

people might try to unload their tickets, sure. but for a lot of people they might be Xmas presents

I'm not sure what to do in this situation, but maybe it's gotta be all or nothing. At first I thought play Jalen for a half, he's not experienced enough to just take the week off. But I also thought to sit Devonta, Lane, Kelce, etc...if you do that though, you put Jalen at serious risk. And even if he doesn't get hurt, he'll have a shit game
