Also, this Angel is outstanding. If you've heard it, you know what I'm talking about. It's funky as hell. And they sounded amazing on that song in 2001. Not gonna lie - takes on a totally different meaning when the LL's are singing about the angels and they start with Roi; that hit pretty hard. So grateful to have each and every show they release with him.
I completely agree with everything you just said here. I think this Angel tops LT 31 and Folsom Field.

This Angel is different for sure.
I have listened to it three times so far:

First time: “WOW! This is so cool! Top version!
Second time: “Ok, a bit too long, maybe was cooler hearing it live, than having to listen the vocalist introducing all the band members in gospel fashion “the drummaaa”.
Third Time: Ok, let’s skip this one.

Decided to download this one as I didn’t want to wait for my cds to come. 1st time in a long time I’ve downloaded a live Trax show. When did they get rid of the breaks between disks on the downloads?

What's the consensus on this one so far? Haven't seen much chatter about it anywhere.

Great mix. Renditions of songs are great. Definitely a release worth getting in my opinion

now THIS is the sound of the band i fell in love with! what a fantastic show. great performances and excellent mix (as good as LT31).

not even that ED heavy, and those songs are performed really well, especially So Right and IIHIA. only skips for me are angel and true reflections (although the davespeak about mj's "man in the mirror" beforehand was funny)

classics are top tier. heartbeat > pnp > rapunzel is a perfect opener. say bye, smts > bridge > tm, bef > bartender, jtr, watchtower are all flawless renditions. monster two step closer. also LOVED tawatha at the end of ddtw. had no idea she sang on it and it gave the the chills on my first listen.

my favorite era is 00-04, so this show hits the sweet spot for me. if you like that era too, i highly recommend grabbing this one.

Nice! I remembered she sang on the end of it during the 01 Gorge shows, but had never heard her do it beyond that.

I have just noticed that. That’s pretty cool, for me: if you listen to the digital download it feels like one long concert (like it should be).
I have to check the previous ones

Anyone know for AATW, did butch play that keys solo before Roi or did someone guest guitar solo that? It’s not listed in the Almanac

yes its butch. he played his watchtower solos with the "electric guitar" effect in 01 and 02.

I haven’t spun this yet, maybe I’ll have time this weekend. The highlights for me will be The Space Between on the electric baritone, IIHIA, So Right with Boyd and Roi, and that’s the 14 minute Angel with the Lovely Ladies. Seriously. Been wanting an ‘01 Angel with them in the LT series.

What is it about the mix you don't like?

(I'm not trying to push back on that statement; I assume that there are other people that will dislike the same things about the mix that you dislike, so it's good for them to know your criticism of the mix before deciding whether to buy it)

I think every performance on this release is good, but few are great, so if you like the setlist, you'll be really happy with the show, but if you don't like the setlist, then the performance will not change your mind.

The performances of DDTW, Angel and True Reflections are better than usual, but the contributions by the lovely ladies are what makes those songs better than normal; if you don't like the Lovely Ladies, you're not going to like these songs.

I'm happy I bought it but it's not one of my 10 favourite live releases.
