I never said the people on there made money to do the ad. I simply pointed out how much more he makes than the executives that he speaks out about on that clip. Again, and maybe this is me personally, I wouldn't be bitching about someone else's multi-million dollar salary when I'm on the same level.

It seems as though Will is not worried about getting taxed for health care where as your executives are afraid about losing money or sharing profits. their monoply is collapsing. Literally impossible. Liberals will tell you that the bill is one of the best things to happen to this country in years while conservatives will tell you that it will destroy the country and push this country into unthinkable debt. There aren't many moderates on this issue. People are either for it or against it. Very little in-between.

I think something will pass if not this year, early next year. I hope it will be something that actually does something positive. This whole thing has become so political that it doesn't appear that will occur.

I pretty much agree with you, although I do think the bill will be positive overall...it will still clearly be flawed. It's pretty disgusting how political the process has been, and I wish things could've been more bipartisan with an issue of this magnitude. I do think a bill will be signed in the next month or two though.

Another timeline that I couldn't care less about. I don't necessarily agree with his decision, but if that's the plan, fine. There's no reason to rush things and risk doing something stupid to keep a timeline that is mostly meaningless.

It will undoubtedly help some people. Mainly those appointed as bureaucrats at 6 figure salaries to administrate this boondoggle. Most however will just see a tax increase in the future and that never helps anyone but legislators.

Yeah, it'll help the executives of just about every healthcare-related corporation, and some government people, but aside from that, this plan basically just fucks everyone and I hope the Senate shuts it down hard.

Has no chance of passing the Senate in it's current form. Nothing with a public option will get through either, IMO.

The House is more liberal, and full of less than brilliant legislators. The Senate is the more grown up and less populist body, so I hope they step up to the ocassion and stop this horrible, horrible, horrible bill from being passed. I'm pretty confident of that.

Yeah, but I don't think that this bill contains any truly populist measures at all. the House may be more populist in general, but in this case, they're just as loyal to the private healthcare industry as anyone in the Senate.

How can ANYONE be on board with shouldering the costs of someone else's abortion? The fact that this has become such a sticking issue, just furthers my belief that this really isn't about helping people.

Agree with you completely here. I'm not sure about the exact numbers but from what I have seen it seems like it is only a few left radicals.

They are obviously going to try and to attach any thing they can to solidify abortion, but it really is ridiculous. Though to be honest if this is what stalled the bill then it might be a good thing. If it ever passed though it would be the suckz. I'm hoping that those on the left supporting this realize it is going too far and it won't be passed otherwise so they will drop the issue. But I'm far from even supporting this bill so I want some major reworkings in other areas before we even think about abortion (An easy "No" in my mind).
