The midset Watchtower with Eric Krasno from the Toronto show is awesome. That said, that one track alone doesn't make for a great release.

Both shows were OK.

I couldn't agree more. 2013 was such an incredible year. Shows were longer and setlists were more unpredictable...especially compared to what they have been the last few years. I can't get enough 2013. I"m glad we have at least two shows from this year. Hopefully more to come too.

No idea. Maybe live trax going forward only be starting a specific year (for example: live trax going forward are nothing prior to let’s say 2001 and this other series is only up to 2000)

What I've been clamoring a few times on here is for DMB to create a series dedicated for video releases of shows, releasing it on CD or download would be an after thought.

I wanted BDs of shows before they started the Drive-In series this past summer but something like that except the audio is mixed and it's in HD as much as possible.

You're right: U2 films one concert per tour and releases that concert as a film only (i.e. there's no CD/mp3 release).

But each year, members of U2's fan club are sent a gift (usually a CD-set), and often the gift has been a CD or double-CD containing the music from those concert films (usually many years after the film was released).

Based on past years.
2014: March 11 was the announcement. April 15 was the release date.
2015: March 24 was the announcement. May 5 was the release date.
2016: February 26 was the announcement. April 8 was the release date.
2017: March 21 was the announcement. It was released on May 5.
2019: March 1 was the announcement. March 29 was the release date.
2020: March 5 was the announcement. April 24 was the initial release date but changed to May 8
I wonder if it’ll be something like February 26 or March 5 for an announcement and maybe April 9 or April 23 for release? I have a feeling we’ll get #55 before we know what’s going on with the summer tour this year and we’ll get four releases again. Whatever it is is will be from either 2001, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2016 or 2019.

I've mentioned this being a release a few times on here...I was there and called it "The W Show," given all the song titles that start with W. What You Are opener rocked. Unfortunately I doubt we ever see it, 1) They released that silly 2007 show with hardly any energy. 2) The very next night at Cuyahoga is LT. 29.

I’d like them to stop the announcement bullshit. No reason to announce and then release 4-6 weeks later.

I know this is beating a dead horse but it blows my mind how they fuck this up so poorly. Just mix a show and release online - done.

Side note - with the recent announcement of warehouse cds being online only, is that for every release from now on?

I’m with you on the preorder waiting period but I think they do that to possibly determine how many to make or press. I could be wrong but it seems like the cheapest way. I hate that waiting period. I hope they still do live trax cds in the future too and not just digital. It seems everything will be all digital in the future though.

I highly doubt that. I think there’ll be CD versions of live trax for a little while yet. Nugs has through #50.
