somehow i missed this but i just saw that bela guested on cornbread at toyota park. for anyone thats heard it, how was it? if he guested on it in the studio would you be happier about it being on the album?

also would it be possible for anyone to send me this version if you have it? thanks in advance

It was really good.
My favorite version of Cornbread for sure.
Needs to be on the tour sampler if they include a Cornbread, which I'm sure they will cuz they only played it like 870 times.

also i wouldnt expect bela to be on the studio track if its on the cd

danny barns has been confirmed if i am not mistaken, o well, better than nothing.

I've never heard that, but you might be right. I didn't think they have confirmed that they were doing a studio Cornbread. I actually had a feeling they might not

o, i dont know if cornbread is in the studio, and i hope it isnt. i just remember that danny was there, who knows on what tracks, if any.

If there's a cornbread on the sampler its gotta be this one. We already have a normal 08 one w/ LT 13. At that show cornbread w/ bela was > than #41 w/ bela

Honestly, I think 8/23/08 with Danny Barnes is the best version played this year. Bela's solo got a bit too long, and the later versions with Danny Barnes had a new, kick ass horns part. also, carter went nuts on the versions with Barnes, whereas with Bela he was a bit reserved.

I really loved the Ants Marching with Bela him jamming back and forth with Boyd I thought was awesome.

Also don't forget DDTW with bela wa a nice highlight...hell all the Bela songs were a highlight

wouldnt it be sweet... a banjo duel between bela and danny barnes. they have 2 completely different styles that i think it would make it interesting.
