To the OP: I posted this several months ago to explain how the passes work. This list doesn't include the WH meet and greet which is where you go to an assigned area, and security takes you to the meeting area. This list is for the passes that are given out. As Jake pointed out, there is nothing labeled "Backstage Pass". Hope this helps.
Here are a list of the types of passes:
1.
Lounge- The easiest to get. These are sticker passes that change from show-to-show and usually have a password for each gig or the name of the person who got them for you written on them in black marker.
What it gets you- Access to a social area at the venue with drinks, light snacks, and bathrooms. No band members, but you may run in to local celebs if they are at the show (example--Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub was at the last Woodlands show)
2.
Pre-Show - Again, a sticker pass that is a little rarer than the lounge passes.
What it gets you- access to the catered food area for the band. Occassionally a band member straggles thru but usually crew and VIP. Not done at every show (typically arena shows) I think. This is not to be confused with the Warehouse pre-show which is a meet and greet.
3. After-Show- Again, a sticker pass.
What it gets you- access backstage after the band has left and the chance to meet Boyd. Pictures and autographs are the norm and food and snacks may or may not be available.
4.
Friends and Family- A laminated pass with the DMB all access on the front and your name on the back.
What it gets you- escorted backstage access to whoever got you the passes. They are somewhat lax on the escorting part. Virtually certain to meet all the band (although if you have these, you've likely met them many many times). My brother gets these and has access to the pre-show meal, the bus areas, backstage, and almost anywhere else. Occassionally Daryl will escort him to where he needs to go, but usually not.
5. All Access- A laminated pass with DMB All Access on the front. Given to only crew, band, and staff.
What it gets you- Arrested if you have one and shouldn't
But..obviously these are the go anywhere, anytime, no questions asked passes.
There are a few others like Photo passes which allow you to take photos from the stagefront area during the first three songs and also the Warehouse meet and greet passes.
Hope this answers your questions.
