This is one I've been hoping for, for a LONG time. Stoked.

I absolutely wore out a few CDRs with this show on repeat for a few years after attending.
I saw them a few nights before in Charlotte, and they were doing this little extended outro thing to Too much with the 'yeah' thing, but it didn't have all the other Lil Jon stuff yet.. so they debuted the true 'What, yeah' outro at this show, hence the reprise at the end. But here's my two cents.
I've seen a lot of shows, and I don't remember seeing the band as excited to just play and have fun. They had a little something extra that night. The run of songs from Hello Again all the way to Warehouse was pretty memorable. Hello Again was off the chain with a big Carter solo and Dave lyric improv. Roi certainly brought it on that one too. My favorite version of that song, ever. Everyday seems ho hum on paper, but Carter starts the outro by playing with his hands like bongos. the outro makes this one. It doesn't seem like this song could be different from the 1000 plays it has, but it is. Captain. Yeah, nothing more needs to be said, but it is such a great version of the song. Felt slightly less groovy and more like it was on the LWS. Not lyrically, but Roi absolutely crushes this one. Warehouse is always great, and this is the relatively new (at the time) jammed out version. It's fantastic. Bartender's outro was one of Dave's more passionate performances. Joyride's lyrics have no mention of the bobblehead buddha, and take a dark turn. Think of Hello Again's lyrics and it's similar in tone. The most unique one you'll hear. Crazy Easy is always great. Good Good Time was a nice little get. I don't love the song, but it's a nice groove and kind of special to hear since it's rare I guess. We all thought DDTW was the encore ender which seemed odd, so when the guitar switch was going on we were all like WTF? I might've known who Lil 'Jon was at the time, but didn't really know his music. I didn't make the connection that they were sampling him, just thought it was funny that Dave was annunciating his yeah's with a severe and exaggerated southern accent to kind of make it fun, which it was. I could tell it was very different and more exaggerated than it was in Charlotte a few nights before. From there it grew, and it was great, but this was the first Lil Jon outro.
Such great rise and fall and the band was into it. Definitely one of my all time favorite DMB shows. I'm always curious what those that just listen to tapes think of it.. if all this truly translates, or if it's just the result of being there. Reality is probably somewhere in between, and I hope they really nail this mix.
