If you decide to jump in, don't start with the movie. Pretty big spoiler right away in the beginning of the movie.

The thought hadn't crossed my mind, to be honest

I want the pure, unadulterated experience.

I rewatched the show over the past month. Hadn't watched it in about 6-7 years.

The final season is so grim, especially the last four episodes

Oh good god, yea, for fuck's sake don't start with the movie if you've never seen the show.

One of my good friends just watched the series for the first time. He was captivated but like most, didn't love the ending.

The best Carmine line is this beautiful disaster:

"The fundamental question is, will I be as effective as a boss like my dad was? And I will be, even more so? But until I am, it's going to be hard to verify that I think I'll be more effective."

In S6, when Meadow and Fin are fighting about what is going to happen to Vito... she gives this line "This is untenable".
Amazing. That's her going full in on the family. I think her turn from being a constant critic, antagonist and moral voice to the family to going all in is one of the best parts of the series. If they were going to do a spin-off, it should be her assuming the Tom Hagen roll.

I’m doing my first watch currently. Outside of Andrea from TWD, I cannot remember disliking a character more than Tony’s mom. Every scene I hope someone kills her.

I hated the ending until i took a step back and thought about how they made you feel watching it (for the first time). They make you feel as anxious as Tony and give you a personal insight as to how he feels 24/7, which also explains why he has the panic attacks and anxiety...great job by the showrunners letting you get to spend a couple of minutes in Tony's shoes.
