I had an absolute blast last night. A killer setlist? No, but it certainly didn't matter. Band was playing extremely well and the crowd was great; maybe the best I've seen at Pine Knob.

Highlights being WTWE (I thought it smoked as an opener), Granny , Crush (never disappoints, although I remember the jam being better in past years), RAVEN!!!, Don't Drink with the prelude into Crash (do those two ever get old? I don't think so), Nancies into Warehouse (brought the house down. I was amazed at the reaction), and the killer encore. It was the third time I've seen the BOWA/Ants two pack... I could see that at every show. It kind of sounded like Boyd was playing Black Water somewhere in that new Ants jam?

One thing that really bugged me was that the main set ended around 1025 so I thought we had a chance at a long encore like Blossom but JESUS CHRIST that encore break ended up being ridiculously long. They must have had quite a smoke session or something lol.

Sound was indeed superb. Crystal clear and LOUD! Had a hard time picking up Boyd, as well as the horns , from the right side.

Overall, a fantastic evening at Pine Knob. I had so much fun that I momentarily thought I'd sell my Mo Pop tickets this weekend and go to Deer Creek but I decided against it. Couldn't have asked for a better way to go into a year break by getting BOWA into Ants.

That's funny we were on the left side of the lawn and I could hear Boyd really well but the horns were a little lackluster.

I think the crowd as a whole during certain songs was great but people in our immediate area were kinda bland. Fortunately we were standing right below a speaker so it wasn't as awkward screaming every song while other people remained silent.

Thats how I look at it. As much as I would love to get to another show (no shot in hell of that happening) this was a perfect night/set to go out on. BOWA is my all time favorite and I always said if DMB ever called it quits Ants would be the final song I want to hear. So to have a year off with that ending was perfect.

Not only that but my daughter was born a month ago so this was the first time that my wife and I got out together since then. Crush is our wedding song and Samuari Cop is our new favorite with the special meaning behind it. So getting those back to back was just perfect as well.

I was in the pav. left center and everyone around me was having a blast. Best section/crowd I have been surrounded by at DTE in years.

I think I am still coming down from the DMB high I got after the show. Cheers and we will see you in 2018 (hopefully)

I agree with The lengthy set break and also the crowd being the best I've seen, my section was great and I was on the lawn!
