That Crush might be the best solo Crush he's ever played

All shows from 96 to today are multi-tracked. Now, the multi's can become damaged and they'll use the two track recording if they see fit to release the show. See the Philly '98 DMBLive.

Forgot he did the outro by himself. Going to have to revisit that one.

Somebody posted a short video with snippets from a handful of songs:

I would love to hear a professional recording of this whole show. I'll bet it was incredible to be there.

What do you mean by multi-tracked? Does this imply he made edits / recorded another track over with the performance?

I’m not exactly sure to be honest. Someone in here can explain I’m sure...

Multi tracking is when each instrument (or in the case of drums, each drum) is recorded to its own track. When it comes to mixing, there is a lot more freedom to control the sound, balance the levels, and even edit things (like replacing Boyd’s out of tune parts on Live In Chicago). This is opposed to two track masters like what they use for the DMBLive series. That means that the soundboard mix during the show was recorded onto a left and right channel, and they cannot do anything to adjust the individual instrument levels or sounds after the fact.

Right.. because Live Nation doesn’t currently have a stranglehold on the rest of the shows.

I got to go and it was an absolutely amazing experience that I’ll never forget. I went to the Benaroya show back in 02’. This was on that level, but times 41! It was just about everything you’d want out of a show like this. People were polite and quiet when they should have been. Everyone sang along, but not daring to do it too loud for fear of drowning out the man we were all there to see. One of the best nights of my life, and I truly mean that.

That's so awesome!! I got chills reading your account of the show, especially knowing that you were also at the classic Benaroya concert. God, I hope they release this whole show someday!
