Anything good coming out in the next few weeks? Feels like music is off to a slow start this year.

I prefer April to any SKM albums that were essentially solo vehicles, not that I can really stand to listen to any Kozelek efforts these days.

Arlo Parks - Collapsed in Sunbeams*

If you were on the Phoebe/Taylor train last year or you've liked Rhye and Clairo in recent years, give this a listen. This album is smooth and gorgeous. (Skip the first track, though, so you don't get thrown off by the spoken intro.)

But this isn't bad. It's Weezer + orchestra. Rivers' ear for a tune with some strings. I can't help but wish he'd done this earlier in the band's career, but it works pretty well

Love this one, as well as the Black and White albums. I don't want Weezer to always sound like Blue and Pinkerton.

Green is probably still my favourite.

But ya, OK Human is a home run.

White's a top-five Weezer album for me. Best of the self-titled color titles that isn't Blue, imo

Y'all... Sophie's death has got me fucked up. Honestly was one of my favorite artists going right now and I feel like we won't really know or understand how influential she was until a few years later down the road. So fucking sad. Was so excited to see what she was going to do with her career.

It's a huge loss. She was just so far ahead of even other people working in the same styles.
