The line early on with Taylor was "Did you know she writes all of her own songs?" And that never meant much to me. To show what a meaningless metric that is, Nickelback also writes all of their own songs.
But then she started doing stuff like Shake it Off and Blank Space, playing off of her own image and what people thought about her. That's when I was like
respect.
I think if anyone questions her ability as a songwriter after Folklore and Evermore that they're really not giving her her due.
On a separate issue — King Gizzard's productivity is astounding. Don't like their latest? Just give 'em a few months
