Rumor Spinoff: Is Steve Lillywhite reuniting with the band?

Do other bands keep who is producing their next album so quiet? I remember having to guess who was producing Stand Up and Big Whiskey because they didn't let us know until way into the process. Why is there such secrecy? We're not talking about national security here! I don't think other bands handle it like this and I think it's all a little too silly.
With that said, the idea of Lillywhite has made me excited today, perhaps for nothing as these rumors have been around before, but I am cautiously optimistic. Like sex, even bad Lillywhite is good Lillywhite and I would love to see how the band would interact with him all these years later and with new members recording.

Dave acknowledged his "old friend" during the show. They certainly spoke.

Also, Stefan and Joe Lawlor (who was at the show last night) both started following Lillywhite on twitter and he followed them. But that could mean anything. There is no smoking gun, but the thought of him back in the fold is exciting.
