My concern with August is being an early show after a break. July feels like a good point where the band is rolling.

Your right I actually gave them to two people in the lawn! And it was announced as a sell out until the re release that happen which lasted well into the show. Cuse won’t get two dates for these reason Darien is back on the tour, dave and Tim are playing cmac agian, and two nights at spac

Any timeframe for the possible d/t CMAC?

[QUOTE=chadizzy1;16837328]We'll for sure do TX (x2) and Alpine (x2) again, assuming those are in the books for 2018. Was thinking about doing WPB again but it was so freaking hot I think we may try for Deer Creek or somewhere

This makes me happy! Their first show at Lakeview Amphitheater was great, Im hoping it becomes a regular tour stop 😁 They haven't tested out a weekend 2 nighter here but I think it would do well. I would be surprised by such a treat though...ditch Darien and play Syracuse 2 nights or add Bethel after Cuse. Looking forward to seeing what date shakes out- the later in June, the better!

So, just in case I booked a room at the resort for alpine today.. she said there's 15 rooms left. There's for sure a bike race, but the price might turn into a concert rate.. I told her I really hope it does lol

i would think if alpine is august that it would be the end of the first leg, not the start of the 2nd. WPB on july 27-28, maybe something like st louis on like the 1st on the way from florida to WI, then august 3-4 for alpine to end the first part of the tour. even alpine could be the following weekend, the 10-11, then nearly 3 weeks off before starting the 2nd leg at the gorge on labor day weekend. if alpine is the 3-4, then maybe the 2nd leg starts the weekend before gorge, like in denver before hitting the west coast.

Looks like last year was the first year they hosted the race. I wonder if that is the hold up on the date with traffic concerns. At the same time, it almost feels like extra people will be in town that could decide to attend the show and boost attendance.

What's happening, Ants? Question: would it be worth it to road trip from the NYC area to West Palm? I heard the venue is not great, and the weather is obviously less than ideal in the summer, but I've never been, and I'd also be hitting up Savannah, Charlston, and other cool places. Was wondering if any of y'all had done similar trips and had opinions.

I can't imagine The Tour cares that there's a Bike race there that weekend, you also could be right about a boost in attendance.

I also don't think that race would produce that much extra traffic.

I agree on the tour not caring, thinking more about the sheriff as they figure out traffic. The bike race looks like it's over early in the day from last year so maybe non issue. Who knows, maybe competing headliner at Summer Fest too.

If you're hitting Savannah and Charleston the weather isn't much different.

I would hit WPB because we have a place north of there (about 14 miles) and its great to hit the beach all morning, into early afternoon and then head to venue. Tickets are as tough as SPAC as far as lowers go. Lots of Trump Jr. types paying for premiums/ VIP.

The venue is actually big and pretty nice for the services they have there. The band has had some great shows because it's usually the show just before the break. It's hot as all fuck, but you're not alive if you're not moist

I'm going to assume this is the bike race?

Honestly, I don't see something like that impacting the shows that much other than the resort itself maybe having less rooms available and DMB fans mingling with the bikers? I assume the bike race is up in the hills so it's not gonna really play into the lots/camping/venue.

All that said, I think I'd still prefer the August date but, I'll be there regardless! Just so happy Alpine is back. I miss the days when there were shows there every weekend when I was a teenager/early-20's but just glad they're keeping it going.

Woodlands in 2014 occurred on the day of the Ironman which was right there. Do t think they’d be concerned. I’d still prefer August as well

The year it was the same day was 2015; the year they switched up Woodlands and Dallas.

I remember walking around the finish line, but I don't remember getting down there. I think we left from Justin's and back roaded it or something. I don't remember how we got to Justin's from our hotel either...

When I first started going down there (2009) I noticed that the people in VIP sat there, over dressed, disinterested as fuck in the show. West Palm is where I've heard "Can you please sit down?" in the lower section.

So- I've said, Trump Jr. since 2009.

My post wasn't meant to be political and still isn't.

There's a shit ton of money down there. Good seats, at face are hard enough to obtain. Down there, people will pay big dollars for good seats so scalping is lucrative.

That was the dumbest idea in the history of dumb ideas.

"Hey guys, let's switch up these two nights, and make sure one of the nights is going to be a nightmare for people to get to. It makes no sense, but let's do it anyway."

To be a fly on the wall when that conversation went down.

Cuse was announced as a sell out way before the show was played and the day of ticket release happened. In fact according to the venues social media it was sold out 4/7

I do think it's a long shot for two nights though however I spoke to someone I know who has good info and they didn't add anything new but also didn't deny anything stating theu can't add anything new to what I already know at this time

It is probably a long shot, but if CUSE does get two nights, it will sell nicely. I would say at least 30k tickets for a two night stand. (17,500ish venue cap.)

Would not surprise me to see 35k tickets old.

Please please please don't go back to Darien.... I can't not go because it's only an hour away and I will make any DMB show that close but I just don't like that venue. Especially since Lakeview opened

I just called to move my reservation for that weekend and I was told that they were nearly sold out and that they reserve the right to change the rate to a concert rate which has yet to be determined. The nice lady said with a cheery voice, “I’m sure you’re hoping that happens”.
