Hey Pete I usually tailgate at the Tampa shows even with pit but I this time I'm just gonna skip and try and get as close as possible. Last year I was kinda on the outskirts and had some bro-dude literally piss on my leg (literally...) any tips on getting as close as possible?

This. DO NOT CROSS I-4. US-301 to the east of the venue is more cross-able with many hotels on the other side of the street. But I-4 is pretty f-in fast and dangerous even if you're in a car, and obviously more so on foot. If you want to gamble, drive/shuttle over to the Hard Rock before or after the show, but don't gamble with your life trying to cross one of the worst highways in the state.

Also, prepare for rain. and maybe not just the usual afternoon showers rain. The afternoon showers haven't actually been as frequent/regular this summer as they usually are. Expect storms passing through off and on. Ponchos & tarps will go a long way. I'm planning to bring both for me and my crew. Hoping to get there round 4:20 before traffic loads up the I-4

I also got pissed on last year, except I was at Orange Beach. We were just a couple rows deep from the rail, so I think it's just a matter of avoiding bros whenever possible. Which is impossible. :/ I hope we both have better luck this year!

Yeah I think the further IN the pit you are the lesser the percentage of dude-bro there will be. I wanted to punch the guy but was afraid I'd get kicked out and miss the rest of the show

I know the feeling. The guy was super messed up... on what I don't know... but he full out peed all over several of us before he even realized what happened. He was with friends, but when that went down they acted like they didn't know him, ha! He stumbled out of the pit and I never saw him again. Terrible!

The lights went off in the Hard Rock for almost 2 min . Back up generator is up . Phones out . Lightning is all over the place .

I am in Bradenton and the weather has been off and on rain since 7 am. Lightning struck an apartment complex near Tampa an hour or so ago. Be careful if you plan on tailgating today.

Glad i have seats and a premiere parking pass for tonight's show.

I don't think it will be delayed unless there is lightning. There has been more rainy concerts in Tampa for Dave than I can remember.
