Is it a waste to use priority on premier camp?

I've looked and can't find an answer so I'll ask here. We're renting an RV for the first time and it seems that we cannot return it on Monday due to the holiday so we will have to wait until Tuesday. Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Depends on the company you are renting from, but that is pretty common. I'm sure others can chime in on what company they have used that is open and allows returns on Monday.

I would assume any place would have an after hours/holiday dropoff. I know car places I've rented from do that, but I can't speak for RV rental.

I was thinking about this too. I wonder if premier camping is harder to get than a lower reserved seat at Deer Creek.

It's not. Plus people cancel plans for destination shows all the time, so they'll pop up here and there as we get closer to Labor Day

Gonna either do premier or terrace. I'd imagine most do Premier and probably not really worth the jump in cost?

If you're going premier I'd suggest trying to find a wildhorse pass. Same price and Wildhorse has the best atmosphere, beautiful site, 24/7 hot showers, great food at the grill if you want it. And you do want a wildburger or 10. We had premier first time and switched about 2 days before heading out, it was incredible at wildhorse, the most relaxing time ever. We wouldn't camp anywhere else. We'll be back for our third time this year: '16/'18/'20

Last year was my first visit to the Gorge - well worth every minute - spent Thursday brewery hopping in Seattle before driving out - it was a great weekend to share with my brother, and I'll never forget it. What an experience.

Posed this question over on the FAQ and nobody had an answer. What's the best way for a first-timer to join a group if you're a Gorge orphan?

I had my heart set on doing the group bus thing with the hotel in Ephrata, and had already booked a flight based on their past years' schedules. Then they announced they're departing Seattle a day earlier, and I can't figure out how I'd ever meet up with them on my own without paying $$$$ for a rental car (which defeats the purpose of the bus).

Is there a decent plan B for someone like me? Or is this a bigger pita for a solo traveller than it's worth?

I think you're better off paying the $100 to change your flight than renting a car. I rented last year, but split with my brother so that made it a lot easier.

It's between the two. We have 2 in our crew that would like a little bit more of a nicer experience and more willing to pay for that than the other 4 of us haha, so Terrace seems like a decent possibility.

I really don't know anything about it in terms of what there is to do or how to best go about it. I'm not even sure at this point if I'm going for sure but I'd say it's about 80%, not going to Mt. Rainier was one of my big regrets last time.

Here is the Ants.org FAQ, then click on the doc and then go to page 42/60.
    https://antsmarching.org/forum/showthread.php?t=334123

    The Campsite is pristine.
The grass is seriously like lush rough on a golf course.
The bathrooms (port-a-potties) are cleaned every morning and are seriously clean.
There are sinks with running water/soap/paper towels by each group of bathrooms so you can actually wash your hands.
There are outlets here and there to charge your phone/etc.
The food from the grill is amazing with daily breakfast and lumch speacials.
The buses run to the venue about every 15 min, drinking on the bus is rampant. The bus rides are a lot of fun.
You can leave the site with your car whenever you please.
It is really pretty quiet at night and loud partying is not allowed after the show but people absolutely still hang out/drink/talk.

    It's just a blast

Yeah we're planning getting to Seattle on Wednesday and doing W-Th in the city and going to the Gorge Friday morning. I've heard "N0" on Th night is quite the party on the campgrounds but, coming across the country, we'd like to have some time in Seattle.

I didn't end up camping there - seemed like too much work - so I wouldn't have made N0 - i stayed in an AirBNB in a town called Wenatchee about an hour away - it was a pain to drive an hour to and from every night, but I still had a blast. Saturday, we drove down to Yakima, which is basically where most of the country's hops are grown for beer. That was fun too.

The coolest part is driving from Seattle to the Gorge and watching the terrain change - you basically go from lush forest to desert. it's awesome.
