Some asshole has some mud, dirt, shit, something on his licence plate making EZPass read his "6" as an "8". Why does that suck? Because that makes his license plate number look like MY license plate number. And apparently, he likes to blow through the toll booth on the regular. Which means I keep getting the violations in the mail.

I don’t think it’s hyperbolic or selective memory to say how bad this year has been with viruses.

I’ve been on and off since Christmas, my son has missed a ton of school, and story after story I hear of people getting better only to get right sick again.

my buddy thinks if he doesn't slow down for the electronic tolls to take a picture of his plate it won't charge him

Similar to being sick, and could be filed under the Grown Up Stuff thread, I had a rough first quarter with regard to healthcare. I mean, not in the grand scope of things, I know I'm pretty well off. But from a personal record standpoint.

Saw my primary doc in January and I guess partially because my wife and I are expecting our first child, he was like okay we gotta get you on the right path. You got high blood pressure, let's get you on a medication, and you should go visit this cardiologist, and go to this sleep doctor, etc. etc. Each of those leads to like 2-3 other visits, follow-ups, tests, etc. I also told him I've been meaning to visit an allergist for the first time since I had a strange skin reaction to something last June, and for like 8 years I thought I was allergic to shrimp but never tested for it. So he makes a referral for that.

Then in the midst of those appointments, in February, I had the same allergic that I had in June, still dunno what it was. Was able to get the allergist appointment moved up. But before that date came, about a week after the allergy, I got a fucking kidney stone for the first time ever. That sent me to the ER, then because I had lingering symptoms, I was referred to a urologist. Throw in a routine dentist appoint, and yeah, since my wife is pregnant and this was her first trimester, there were at least half a dozen appointments for her sprinkled in there.

Very taxing on my patience, bank account, and job. Fortunately my boss was patient with my throughout it all and the appointments are tapering off.

Did you have kidney stone pain? I had an MRI done when they thought i was going to have my appendix removed (i didn't) but they found 3 kidney stones (but it was not causing any pain). So the ER doctor said I need to go to a urologist, I did and he said the kidney stones were so small they will probably pass with zero pain or just keep floating around and I shouldn't worry about it at all.

Yeah, so my wife and I had a big important scan for her, and while we were in the waiting room and waiting in the exam room, I was having a fairly bad pain my back/side, felt like a cramp. Also felt like I had to take a dump After like an hour it went away. We went straight to the grocery store and I started hurting again and wanted to hurry up and get home. While standing at the pharmacy, it got so bad, I paid for my Rx and basically threw it at my wife and said go check out, and I ran into the bathroom thinking I was gonna puke and pass out. Neither of those happened but I was in terrible pain for the next 2 hours (probably the worst in my life), going back and forth between the bed and toilet feeling like I had to go but not going, til I finally threw up just from the pain. Then it all subsided.

Then I finally read about it and realized those were all totally kidney stone pains. The next few days just sucked because I felt like I had to piss constantly, even right after I did, and that also included a work trip up to Ohio which was manageable except one night during a fun event the pain started to come back and I had to rush back to the hotel by myself. Everything just kinda stopped after that night, and the urologist was a week later so they figured I must've passed it.

For BP, I was put on Lisinopril but then a few weeks later had that allergic reaction. It was just on the skin, like a rash (and my allergy tests would later say I'm only allergic to dust mites) but to be safe he switched me to amLODIpine. EZ-Pass the product and customer service are fucking hell.

I don't drive often but have a car upstate with an ezpass tag on auto-debit.

When my car goes through tolls; it seems to not read my entry point and only my exit. Every time the car goes on the Thruway - it charges the maximum toll in that direction. Its been doing this for like 5 years now; infrequent enough to not notice the ~30$ each time the car is on the thruway, but still - its racked up enough incorrect tolls to be a rather large sum of money. I contacted customer service 3 weeks ago and so far they have been ghosting me.

No clue if it can ever be corrected. For the past couple of years, google timeline has been tracking my location accurately enough to prove this, but no clue how this will hold up and be resolved.

Ooof yeah that sounds miserable. When the ER doctor told me he saw the kidney stones I freaked out just waiting for the "worst pain of my life" to hit me all while reading horror stories online of people with stones. Thankfully I was able to get a urologist appt in 2 days who really calmed me down and I haven't thought about it since...I have a follow up in June to make sure they didn't grow or multiply. I drink about 120 ounces of water a day so I'm not even sure how I got them to begin with but he said there is nothing I can do diet wise to get rid of the few I have.

I was on Lisinopril for years but that dry cough was driving me nuts it always hit when I would lay down for bed.

They are actually resolving these each time they come in and removing the charges. It's just a fucking pain in the ass to keep reaching out to them.

Shit you know what, I feel like I had a cough like that during the middle of the night a couple months ago, but I can't remember if it was while I was on that med or not. And I think at the time I had a bit of a cold or something and thought it was that.

Most annoying thing ever; I'd get woken up in the middle of the night by it, but it was the weirdest thing; because I was half asleep, it was like I didn't know how to cough or something, I couldn't take a deep enough breath to really wind up for it and have a productive cough
