The tricky thing might be that we may have to have a negative test done before we are allowed home and the border only excepts certain tests. Figuring out how to get them and if they cost anything (I’ve heard rumours that they are quite pricy) could be the hard part.

I just got back from my first visit to the family in a year or so, and crossing back was an... experience. Had to upload proof of vaccinations, proof of a negative PCR test, provide a quarantine address in case they rejected any of it, and then take another test at the border. After all that I STILL have to check-in every day for 14 days to confirm I don't have symptoms.
My current plan is to try to schedule a test in Moses Lakes or Wenatchee during the day on N2 so I can (hopefully) have the test results back by Monday and stay within the 72hr timeframe. I'm REALLY hoping the US side opens up so my DMB buddies can come along, otherwise I'm going solo with my US passport and trusting that the universe will provide some friendly concert buddies once I get to camp. The PCR test I got before coming back this time was $100, but I just see it as a cost of crossing the border during these historic times.
Fingers crossed the other side opens up soon!
