Gauges. Possibly the most unattractive thing that somebody knowingly and willingly does to their body. I could never date a girl who had them. Why do people do this? It irritates me to no end.

Tonight an oncoming car crossed over the double yellow line and almost hit me. Like I said on the last page, the bad driving on the road is only getting worse and worse. It was too dark to see the driver, but I'm willing to bet they were distracted by their phone and they weren't paying attention because it was late and the road wasn't busy.

We had some really bad wind the night before last and this morning while making my coffee, I noticed a medium/small tree had crashed through our fence in our back yard. Now I have to assess that and figure out if I can move the tree and make the repairs myself.

Years ago I was on a two lane highway coming home at night and another car blew by me doing at least 90 in the second lane the wrong way

Took me a few hours to realize how dead I’d be if he picked the first lane

Being assigned special projects that have been reassigned multiple times because whoever reviewed it previously didn’t get the job done.

I don’t mind doing the work but it’s annoying to have to fix not only the root of the issue but also fix the previously failed attempts of repair.

For all the good GPS has done, it's made some people completely blind on the road and lack awareness of road signs and lane marking and things like that. I think people should have to retake their road test every x years honestly.

Oh, and people some states during COVID didn't even have to take their road test to get their license because of social distancing. Which is WILD to me.

That definitely tracks. Continuing education and regular testing should be required to maintain a driver’s license. I haven’t been to a dmv in 12 years and my license doesn’t expire until 2028.

Part of the issue is we use a DL as an ID card, which should not be the case. Need a national ID (smaller than a passport) which can be chipped (like a smart card) for DL, state ID, etc.

You can test all you want, when people are under a microscope, most will behave. Need to start installing more cameras with facial recognition. You speed and get caught your license is automatically suspended for 6 months. If you're caught driving on a suspended license or without a license, you lose your right to have a license. You'll also be fined several thousand dollars for the first offense. If you continue to drive and get caught, you'll spend time in jail. Most people don't seem to care. It's time to force them to care by hitting them in the pocket book.

All these cars with keyless entry where you can use your phone to unlock the door, they should completely disable the screen on your phone when driving. You can answer phone calls and use voice commands, but as long as you use your phone to unlock the door, you can't touch the screen.

I'd like to see phones being completely disabled when the GPS detects its moving faster than 5mph. Only thing you can do is make Bluetooth phone calls. The technology has to be there. I have my iPhone 12 connected by bluetooth to my 2012 Ford. I've puled into a parking spot with the engine running, grabbed my phone and I get a pop-up that asks me if I'm driving. The technology has to be there, but phone companies don't want to make it happen. I bet they're afraid of losing sales. Or maybe they can't figure out how to make it happen so kids can play on their phone while a parent drives. Something needs to happen though. The distraction is getting to be too much.

The only problem with that is passengers wouldn't be able to use their phone. That's why I think the only feasible way to implement something like that is if the owner's phone is tied to the car somehow, like with keyless entry.

Speeding is legal, if you’re well off enough. Who cares about speeding camera tickets (no points) at $40 a pop? You'd need to remove the money factor entirely and move to a 0 tolerance policy which isn't rationale. Also, if you get nabbed by a cop in this day and age, major LOL.
