I would love the IEM mp3 if that's around. Okay song. Needs a retool before they even think of playing it live.

Song has grown on me a little bit. Carter changes up the beat its automatically 10x better.

I also need the version other than the Vegas one, if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.

The vocals on this song are money especially the outro part. This song reminds me of a little chill tune that you put on in the summer, its so simple yet beautiful at the same time. Simplicity isnt always a negative.

first, THANK YOU once again to Jantz for not letting me down after I saw your thread title. Amazing work, as per usual. Secondly, i LOVE the audible addition of the gryphon, as well as the muted trumpet. it NEEDS a sax part, but the mandolin is bearable (however i still contend that it is played incorrectly...a mandolin wasn't meant for simple one-string riffs, but rather more like a banjo in that it should be used for fills and more complex arpeggio structures. IMO) Anyway, i really enjoy its evolution and look forward to more from it.

On a side note, "A Place of Our Own Design" would be a sweet album title. Just sayin'. And Jantz...still my favorite poster. Thanks.

Ok,I slept last night and woke up singing this song, so yes I like it. BUT, it never builds, so restructuring is a necessity if this is ever to surface again. Carter needs to be active, and yes it needs a sax part. Lots of work, but yes I like the ground work.

If they added to the Dave strumming and went more with that once he kicks in I think they may have something hear. Carter definently needs to be lighter also.

I love this song. Carter doesn't need to do much more than what hes doing. Some songs call for simple drums.

Good catch on the "Shotgun" lyrics -- lends some credence to the idea that maybe the band couldn't get a 'sound' to this song that they liked, but that Dave liked the lyrics enough to reuse them with some different music.

Wanted to bump this thread 1. for the reason that everyone keeps calling it Run While We Can....get with it dammit.

Otherwise. Great lyrics with potential, cool groove. I just think Carter needs to cultivate a real drum part and there needs to be some kind of bridge

I'll always call it Run While We Can because it's a better title than Break For It - until the band releases it with an official title and hopefully it is Run While We Can

Yeah I know what you mean. It just sounds more full if that makes any sense. Although the lyrics are difficult to make out on the Vegas soundcheck, the way that Dave delivers them is perfect.

Stefan called it Break For It.

For the sake of saying it - it is what it is. It is what it is. That's what it is.

As for the song itself, I really like this song. Rashawn's muted trumpet is excellent.

And upon review, I still like how some people want this song to appear on the album because it was first claimed to be a studio leak on some parts of the Internets. No one even thought about this song until the IEM was leaked onto YouTube.
