yes it has along with at least 30 other songs too...

Im losing interest in seeing this band because theres way too many songs that get played every year and then songs like "last stop" get played a handful of times every 5-6 years

"fool to think" makes 2-3 appearances every couple of years

    just as examples

So many great DMB songs that are just shelved and never heard from agsin. So sad

100%. SUAD is awesome, and DMB 3.0 would crush it. It's a pretty straight forward rocker.

KKJ would be another good one for them to bring back. I think Jeff could do some things with that.

I have enjoyed every evolution/form of the sweet up&dn, even the 3 minute versions with no sax solo in 07

Song really needs to come back.

I completely agree. Kit Kat Jam and Sweet Up & Down need 10+ plays next tour

I agree that this song is a good fit with the current version of the band - bring it back into the rotation! I also agree that it could fit as a set closer or encore closer.

Still baffles me how this song sits on the shelf.

It's only been played 29 times by DMB since early 2000. For reference, Samurai Cop has been played 33 times this tour, and Bayou 25. That's insanity.

It's a song from a scrapped album. It's not that baffling.

I’d argue that tLWS is the band's best album. And on this masterpiece JTR and SUaD are the best songs...along w/ KKJ featuring vocals. That JTR is rarity, SUaD doesn’t get played, and that KKJ is Now an instrumental (that also almost never gets played) is near a crime against music.

Ah, yes. Sound logic. Because the only songs DMB plays a lot are ones from their 9 official studio releases.

Id agree, definitely the album I've listened to the most. I was listening to kkj yesterday thinking, how the hell do they not play this! There is no reason JTR and kkj should not get a few plays a tour. It really is sad they shelf some of their best stuff.

Man, I think about this all the goddam time. But then I try to keep it in mind that they do manage to play a bunch of awesome tunes pretty regularly that could just as easily be on the shelf.

I guess it's all about perspective, right?

What I'm really saying is that if they don't bust out SUAD or KKJ w/lyrics at the Gorge I'm gonna punch a baby or babies.

True, im sure some people are loving the stand up resurgance. Hopefully there isn't too many babies in the pit if that's where your gonna be.

Kind of a shame that Lillywhite had them do like 80 takes of this tune in the studio (at least from the article I read). If it were handled a bit differently, who knows what might have become of this one.

That wasn’t his point. I believe he was stating exactly what you did. Hilly said that the reason sweet up and down hadn’t been played is because it wasn’t on an album and that people shouldn’t be baffled by it. Granny being on UTTAD doesn’t really count. It’s a song that’s not on an album that is played consistently.

I don't have my library here but it's one of the earlier shows in the '10 tour (maybe June?), that would yield my favorite SU&D performance. Another great performance from 08/25/2010 @ Concord, CA w/ Blackjack.
