Ghosts in the Attic is a great album title.<br>

It would be a great name for an album of all the unreleased road tested songs over the years.

I hope the new album is a lot like this song, Sam Cop, Bismarck, Bob Law - they all have a good sound to them.

Miss crazy-easy bad. What a tune. Intro on 7-10-04 is my favorite piece of dmb music in 13 years. And dave was peeing.

What a poignant and snide remark! Thanks to the person who sent me the lyrics, I've practiced it twice. At least you made your post.

It's alright....Could be good if further developed and with the right band parts to go with it. Better than the last lot of horrific songs from the past few years though at least.

I like this song! This really makes me wonder how Dave writes songs like this but also writes a song as ridiculous as plastic girl.

It just doesn't seem like a typical Dave song IMO. Its really different IMO

Probably the most compelling vocal melody Dave has written in 12 years. That melisma - Dave doesn't write too many notes like that where melody truly wins out instead of being cut up by rhythm. I think it sounds fine / somewhat catchy. Lyrically- the whole nostalgia "when we were kids" theme seems to be about 70 percent of Dave's output these days-- it's not something that I identify with personally but I suppose it makes good dad rock.

idk how i feel about this song. lyrics are pretty bland. it sounds like he just wrote it (read: didn't put a ton of effort into it). fits in the theme and style of some of the other new songs but one of the weaker ones imo. chorus is pretty good with that melody but the verses are rough, feels forced.

Because we all have massive respect for the music that was written in the 90s, despite having similar themes

Replace Kill the King with Idea of You, and you may be onto something. I don't see KtK getting pulled back out consistently, especially for the slight chance that they'll put some older songs on the new album. IOY has gotten reworked and consistent play since 2013. No way that one isn't making an album if we get some "live, not live" tunes.

There's a 0% chance KTK IOY or Sugar Will make a new album that is strictly a new album and not some sort of unreleased compilation. Why people keep harping on this is absolutely mind-blowing.

That's pretty much the point I'm trying to make - it's a slight chance that we get older tunes. Nobody knows the details surrounding this album, and at least 1 person here has info from a source that says Sugar Will is definitely making it no matter what. So that obviously fires up the "what else could be on there?" discussion that we go through every time there's a studio announcement.

This is excellent. Really really good. I'm also very excited to see Dave doing some old school guitar work in that bridge.

If we are putting in 2006 songs, why are we leaving off IOY and Break Free? They are miles better than any new song in the past few years. I'd actually argue that they're the 2 best songs from those sessions. I'd like to see Break for It on the list as well.

really really like that instrumental part and then the following ending verse that he draws out and builds up a bit. Could be real good live if he goes off a bit there.

Interesting that the one part is all chords from #41 just in a different order.
