ok, this is quite random but somehow I find it hilarious -

Alanis Morissette has a song "Unsent" (1999) and it claims to be a fact, that its first verse is about Dave Matthews

"The lyrics consist of letters addressed to Morissette's former boyfriends. The demo version of "Unsent" contains the real names of the boyfriends: "Matthews" (referring to singer Dave Matthews from the Dave Matthews Band)[..] For the studio cut [..] the people mentioned were renamed to protect their privacy: "Matthews" became "Matthew"; "

the lyrics:

"Dear Matthew,
I like you a lot. I realize you're in a relationship with someone right now and I respect that.
I would like you to know that if you're ever single in the future and you want to come visit me in California,

and here is the funniest part - video . it appears that guy with weird hair (0:00 - 0:50) is supposed to be Dave

First of all, ancient news, and it was never more than a rumor.

Her album with this song appeared not too long after she and DMB worked together on BTCS so it made sense. That's about the extent of anything, though.

I like Alanis... I think her music is cool, although her earlier stuff was obviously much better. But this just creeps me out a bit.
