I think this is the only picture on my phone, but this is the camp chair view from our spot. That’s looking East. If you look north there’s a decent peak but it’s not the high peaks region. Just beautiful.

The wife and I like to go to Old Forge since she’s a city girl not really into the tent camping on an island thing.

Where I’ve been going all my life is state land like just north of Tupper Lake by Upper Saranac.

If you just stay on route 30 past old forge for about another hour and a half you’d go right to it.

Awesome man. Have you ever seen a moose up north? I’ve only ever witnessed deer and small stuff camping. My cousin swears he saw a wolf or coyote one night when we were kids and it was just him and my grandfather. Made him pack up and move in the rain at night.

My grandfather still to this day says he doesn’t believe my cousin saw anything. Hahah.

ive seen moose a handful of times in new england
scary. just kept walking and made sure to make noise so i didn't spook them
