Much different than being in a relationship and being married with a kid, IMO.

I think maybe people saw results that rickie had early in his career and mistook that for talent. that comes off as harsh but I think the problem with "for a player that's so talented, why hasn't he won more?" lies more with the assumption being made in the supposition than with the player. even in his best years the most you could say about his profile is "pretty good putter, pretty marginal everywhere else, and has managed to piece it together very well on particular weekends"

Most great players aren't single and have either a relationship status that is equal to or more involved than Rickie's

It’s like every situation with the players is the same and we should expect the exact same outcomes from every single one of them. Am doing it right?

And no one said you can win and be married. Or have a gf.

Your defense of his game falling apart seems to be 1) he has worked hard at golf, and 2) he is in a relationship and enjoying life. That's fine if he isn't pushing as hard as others and that's what he wants to do (not sure that is the case), I don't see how that mentality isn't weak though from a competitive standpoint.

He’s fine. There are a lot of other players right in his age group that are just as inconsistent right now.

He’s definitely at a low point so it’s being rightfully acknowledged be people like and root for him.

I’ve simply implied it’s understandable which you have taken to mean a whole lot of other things I didn’t say.

I don’t know if he’s lost a little fire or got burned out but neither would surprise me and I don’t think any less of him right now.

I think they way you perceive athletes at least in this discussion is insane. Go ahead, hate RICKIE for not winning. Or being as committed as you feel he should be. That is weird to me to look at him like that.

Very insane to have more respect for athletes who are driven to win, really out there

I’d like to know Rick’s honest opinion of the TP5 he’s contracted to play.

Obviously, there are several top guys who win with the ball, but it seems his play really dropped off once he put it in play.

If preferring to watch athletes get the best out of themselves and being in awe of those that do, the great champions in every sport, is me doing me than yeah I'll continue to do so. Even someone who fell off but is making progress and always had that competitiveness like Spieth is very different than "meh, he deserves it, he works hard at golf and is dating a hot woman"

I’m all for anything that mixes things up a few times per year. Love the WGC match play.

DJ didn’t even know how to use his carry bag at Seminole last year.

This was never in question. It’s clear how much you like yourself

You should be aware of what a hard ass you come across as. And that you have incredibly high expectations, and seem very rigid.

Going through life like this can be very difficult.

    Take this or leave it.

Stricker had his wife carrying a stand bag and Lee's lady had the full tour bag. Interesting dynamic there.

I’ve been using my Jones even when riding for the last 6 months. Decided to take the C130 yesterday because of the 40 degree change in temperature and frost delay needing a wide variety of layers, snacks, and booze. Couldn’t believe how heavy it was.

Cannot imagine carrying that thing around 7500 yards 4 days in a row.

You're trying to call me out for liking competitive professional athletes who are driven to win, saying that viewpoint is insane, I'm sorry if my enjoyment of sports comes off as hard ass to you. I'm well aware not everyone is Jack, Tiger, in a different sport Brady etc. but that mentality is what I love as a sports fan and a lot of guys in the top 25 owgr are that way to some degree. You are giving Rickie a pass for really weak reasons from a competitive standpoint, reasons that I doubt line up with how he feels as I'd assume he is more driven than you give him credit for, also implying that I hate him which is wrong.

Not sure why you are choosing to make this personal but I'm not bothered by your comments.

I’m not sure what you took that way.

Is climb drunk today? You’re all over the place due.

You have to forgive TS#s... he grew up in TB12 land. When you witness the best athlete in the world for 20 years you tend to have higher expectations.

He’s in danger of missing the masters for the first time in 10 years is one reason people are talking about his play lately
