Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Next week I'm going to be hanging out with a friend of mine who is going to be back in Pittsburgh to go a bunch of breweries in the area. The last time, we hit up Fury Brewing, Brew Gentlemen, Voodoo, Grist House, and Hitchhiker, so this time we're going to be hitting up Dancing Gnome, Cinderlands, Eleventh Hour, Church Brew Works, Spoonwood, and Mindful. We might get to Hop Farm and maybe a couple out in the eastern areas closer to Greensburg toward the end.

I can get some Brux 6th anniversary wild ale or Trip in the Woods barrell series.

It's worth a shot. Never tried Treehouse but I'm not paying stupid prices either.

Im just saying, youre not gonna be able to trade for it unless its something that isnt being shipped around the country, well unless someone here is being nice.

I dont know much about the two you mentioned... maybe the Brux could pull you some because it looks rare.

I would never pay stupid prices either, but your best bet is trading some local micro cans from places around you.

I know nothing about how SN is set up but it's possible that trading growlers of tap-room one-off's might be able to land Tree House beers. IF SN does that sort of thing. I'm not sure Brux will get it done but people in this thread are much nicer than trying to trade on BA or any other forum. Best of luck!

theres a lot of facebook groups for trading... but yeah your best bet for that kind of trade is in here, people can be ridiculous and nasty in some of those groups.

    Fuck Bull Durham Beer Co.

I’m on location, drinking it, and it isn’t bad. The owner is sitting at the bar and he is a grade A douche.

Its kind of middle of the pack for them IMO.

I never buy cans of it, its rotational so it comes around often. I guess they are doing glassware for it tomorrow though which looks cool.

If I were you id shoot for the two new ones coming next week- HaHa! is thursday, its the double version of Ha! which I thought was excellent when it was on draft. And next saturday is a DIPA called Surge... no idea what its gonna be like but that name is promising. Looking forward to the newsletter tuesday to see what its about.

Second Fiddle is my go to now when it comes to VT dipa’s off the shelf...so fresh and readily available! Cloud Drop from Upper Pass is also worth checking out, though much harder to obtain.

Oh, and fwiw the SN Trip in the Woods variant I had over the winter was stellar!

Enjoying the San Diego beer scene thus far. Made it to Pure Project my first night in - very happy with what they're doing. Crushed 3 pints of Chasing Citra from Resident Brewing last night. Literally identical in taste and feel as some of Tree House beers. Alter Ego/Doppel comes to mind.

Hoping to hit Modern Times this weekend.

    Huge week at Gnome.

2 beers wednesday, 1 thursday and 1 saturday.

Definitely will be picking up HaHa and Warm Hand Splash. The single version of Ha was great and Wishbone was the pale ale verison of WHS which is now gonna be a double. Wishbone is my favorite pale they make next to lustra.

Not sure what happened to Surge that was supposed to come saturday, maybe they just renamed it.

My dad brought me back a 32 oz crowler of an IPA from Voodoo and it was super legit.

Got myself a growler of Sixpoint Puff for the weekend.

I keep trying to update the Mavs website to order my Donicic jersey lol. Might have to get a Slovenia one for the time being.
