im not unhappy that i watched it. but im also not dying to see what happens next. good start. one of my favorite starts to a show actually. just kind of indifferent as to the direction they chose for it to go in.

it was fine. but it wasn't my thing.

ok so almost in e8 of yellow jackets...love it so far but

I was expecting more of a Lord of the Flies vibe after the opening scene...interested to see if they get into clans against eachother or something

the show runners sold the show specifically on a multi-season arc with a full story so my best guess is yes

Finished ep 2 of Euphoria S2. A few thoughts:

- Sweeney Sydney is absolutely perfect
- Rue's character is the least interesting so far
- The woman that plays Faye is a porn star.

That was a very good article about Station Eleven. It helped me realize a few connections that I had missed while watching the show. I only wish I was more familiar with King Lear and Hamlet so I could better understand some of those metaphors as well. I caught some of them, but they didn't really hit me as hard as they would have for someone who is really familiar with those plays.

I agree with that. While watching I knew that they were most likely drawing some parallels with the themes of the plays, but I wasn't well enough versed on them to make the precise connections in the moment. However, I was more interested in the themes of the Station Eleven graphic novel and how they were represented in the character arcs so I don't feel like not knowing the Shakespeare stuff took too much away.

Just finished up After Life. Such a great show. The humor is just classic Ricky Gervais, but this season definitely hit me in the feels like the other two hadn't.

yeah I forget the actor's name but I think I heard his wife died and he wanted to stay home for his family
