Had Eviltwin’s old fashioned lemonade IPA last weekend. It’s a corroboration with omnipolo from Sweden. 7% and by far the most drinkable ipa I’ve ever had. Highly recommended if you like citrusy stuff.

I really is all about quanty of quality at my age

Blue Moon is a beer that's very well made and true to style. I personally don't like it as I'm not really into that style of beer...and then you add to it that it's not technically a craft beer so it gets a lot of hate.

Now the crazyiest tasting beer i every had was over the summer.

It came in a black can, it was something like 12 percent alcohol, and it tasted like grapefruit. Can't rember what it was called tho. But it was different. Not bad by any means, but nothing like I have ever tasted

Blue moon is fine. But it’s made by coors. It’s not craft beer. People get mad about it because clueless restaurants put it on craft beer menus.

Just snagged a 4-pack of Genesee’s limited Reisky & Spies limited Pilot Batch release... can’t wait to try it, the brewery seems to be pretty proud of it and buddies who have already had it are raving about it.

    Honestly this.

I think Blue Moon is garbage, but if you like it, drink it. If you like Bud Light, drink it. I personally won't. I won't get mad at you if you like that beer so don't get mad at me because I would rather have a water than a macro beer.

Being a beer snob, surprisingly, goes both ways.

Im back full circle. I'll drink blue moon again after shunning it and all other adjuncts, I just won't willingly buy it. Unfortunately for me, getting more and more into craft beer led me to enjoy beer less and less unless it was something super special. I gave up caring, and now enjoy a wider array of beer.

Everything stands out....honestly. The Hill Farmstead Double Galaxy and Double Nelson were amazing. Tree House Green hits just about everything I want from a hoppy beer. The Tree House stout was like drinking a buckeye with a bit of coffee at the end.

Haha, yeah that's probably the quickest I've gone back (little less than 2 months since my last trip).

We've got a co-worker leaving, so selfishly took a trip up with another co-worker to grab ourselves some beer along with a nice 12-pk parting gift.

While that is true the original recipe, not the current iteration, was invented at the Sandlot Brewery inside the baseball stadium at Coors Field, which is owned by Coors. Kinda cool it was born in the ballpark, IMO. It was called Bellyslide or something and was ahead of it's time in '95.

That being said it's a very average beer.

Stuff like this always makes me chuckle. Ive yet to try a hybrid style, other than belgian ipas, that i can honestly say I like and routinely buy. Glad im seeing less and less black IPAs, I find them to be disgusting (right up there with a hoppy stout)! Or stouts aged in wine barrels!! Always come across as gimicky to me, not quite as bad as putting a bottle of beer in a dead squirrel and selling it for $500+ ... dont have to be different, just be good!

There was a phase where my fav style was black IPAs. Good ones are still enjoyable ala Odell, Grand Teton, Avery, etc. But that whole scene came and went pretty quickly.

    Count Chocula beer sounds awesome

    Blonde Stouts? Nope.

yeah I don't know what I was thinking when I enjoyed Black IPA's....I can't tolerate them anymore for some reason. Same with chili pepper beers for the most part.

Yeah, I was there for a bit too. Even made several batches of it... I think if I were to brew again, I might fire that one up. It was really tasty. But I don't seek out the black IPA's like I used to

I can do stouts with a little chili but anything with heat I almost always stay away from.

    Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Blue Ridge River Red Ale at Sierra Nevada here in Asheville right now. Such great balance and a malty backbone. So great to work for a company with such an amazing product. Lots of great tweaks and new flavors coming your way in the near future.
