Re: Boston

Well boston itself isn't all that big...but the areas people "consider" boston is pretty big.

Thats like my roommate, who is from some place like Haverhill claims she's from boston. What a poser.

Exactly. SHe'll always give me crap about "living in the sticks"...I'm from Gardner, 60 miles west, and she's from some podunk town....not Haverhill, but it's almost in NH and pretty much the same distance. I think it's because she went to school at Wellsley (or however you spell it) that she says I'm a "poor country MA girl". WTF, I hate that shit.

Us Central MA-ers take such offense when people who are from a town 50 miles southeast or north of Boston, and they claim we don't live in civilization. I'm not from Pittsfield or North Adams, GD It!

Well, I'll tell people I was born in Boston, because most people don't know Peabody, Mass. Or just like I'll say I'm from Atlanta when talking to people in other parts of the country.

I had my first weekend in Boston not too long ago. My favorite part was wandering through the financial district at 2:30 in the morning because we couldn't get to chinatown. I must say, it was the best meal I've ever had that late at at night. And cold tea...good shit. It was also the first place I went where I wasn't one of those idiots that picked up the accent after a day.

I agree. The Great Lakes are beautiful no matter which one you're near in the midwest/Lake states, but there's nothing like being able to take a short road trip to the ocean.

Much more, now, actually. There are now some legit restaurants and stuff. Bowling, Movies....Gardner actually has lots to do, but I used to just go to Worcester if I wanted to do something like go bar hopping or to a mall or whatever.

The Cape sucks ass. Drive for only an hour and fifteen and go to York, ME, Saco, ME, or Salisbury NH. Cleaner beaches, and it's not swarmed with high school kids.

Ohhhh I have to disagree with you there. I LOVE the cape. My fave place ever! I am getting married here http://www.linnell.com/
Skaket beach in Orleans is the MOST romantic place at sunset.

Worcester sucks ass. I am sick of the homeless people. I am sick of the crack whores and their skank asses at Price Chopper. Fun for college kids, but once I have this baby I'm soooo out of here! We are probably gonna move to Mississippi!

oh that is purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrty, that'll be beautiful.

I just hate the Cape in the summer. Although, you will not find a better example of how rednecks to exist in New England as you will if you go to the Cape. There are many people there who make awesome fodder for Mullet/NASCAR jokes.

My fiance's parents own 1500 + acres in MS, and we will probably build a house on a far part of their land. He wants to eventually take over their business (raising cow's for beef) so it would make alot of sense. Plus we will be able to live in a sweet ass house compared to a shit hole apt here in MA. I'm ready to live away from civilization!

Jer and I went last week, and stayed in the Doubletree that's right on the Charles... the view was beautiful... he, of course, was more entertained by the bum he could see going from car to car for change, but still, it was nice. Then we stayed in a bed and breakfast in Lee on the way back home. Another beautiful view, it was just the best three days I've had in a long time... and it makes me miss being a masshole oh so much.

I live not to far from GIL. Well, if by not far, it's like 40 minutes, but STILL.

I'm still a masshole. Just cuz you leave MA doesn't mean you can't be a masshole. Some of the docs around here even call me "masshole". It's awesome
