    I mean lets be serious here...Why I Am is the best cut from DMB since Grey Street...ehhh hmmmm...I beg to differ.

    Let's not get on the sentimental band waggon just because it's about Leroi. It's a good track but its not even in the same discussion as Grey Street.

    Now Time Bomb could be in that GS discussion.

    Thoughts?

    Is U2 platinum yet? I haven't paid attention. They were at 900k last I checked so they probably are but it took them over 20 weeks. Talk about changing tides in the recording industry...

    U2 probably went 5x platinum the day it came out. There is a big difference between RIAA platinum (shipping 1M units) and SoundScan platinum (selling 1M units). This thread was made in regard to 1M shipped I believe, which is why he has separate numbers for sales. U2 is 10 times more popular around the world so they were probably RIAA certified platinum their first day of release.

    Yeah, duh. U2 was at 900k over 20 weeks in. Among people in the industry, it's been a very telling story and one that has been often discussed. After all, if U2 can't go platinum in 20 weeks..........................

    I thoroughly enjoyed Time Bomb the first time I listened to it and still do like the song, but it really seems to me that it could be so much more. Not a very original thought I know, but it's one time where I strongly agree with others who think more could have been put into a song. I really hope that they will work on this song live eventually, but won't be holding my breath for that one. Until then Grey Street blows it out of the water.
